It's good, there are a lot of other coins. There are competitors-the competition moves the market forward

Every week BTC seems to lose it's market dominance. Currently it sits at 34.4 percent but what happens when it becomes 5 percent or less? Thoughts?
It would take a very long time for bitcoin to lose it dominance to such a percentage; it seems impossible. However, if it does there wouldn't be much changes except the fact that some altcoins would experience high growth compared to that of bitcoins

In my opinion there is nothing will change if ever bitcoin lose it's market dominance but it is impossible to happen. Yes,a lot of altcoins in the market that has a potential to grow but if you compare it to bitcoin it is too far from bitcoin that's why i believe bitcoin will still dominant over other coins in the market.

that is only for now. Bitcoin might become more dominant but might also decrease to only few % market in long run, at least that is my opinion. We can never be sure what happens

Bitcoin will not lose its dominance. This is the most perfect crypto currency. This can happen only if there is a collapse of the whole world of crypto currency.

If bitcoin loses in price, then other types of crypto currency will break out ahead. I believe that this is very good, because competition is the engine of progress.

As many people discusses earlier the dominance level of the crypto market is just an useless statistics,it doesn't have any real thing in the value of the price of the coins.Ofcourese the dominance level of bitcoin will fall if more and more crypto currencies will be created in future but it is not meant that the bitcoin is losing its position it is just because more and more coins just increasing the total market cap values.

ICO will become more popular.
So it is good to start investing now. I think that I have found a really good project - Socratus.  It is a insurance ecosystem which provide a digital platform for insurance companies . So any insurance company can connect the platform to become the part of Insurance Digital Ecosystem such as property, flight delay, cyber insurance and etc. Their main aim is to help insurance companies to reduce costs (it can be reduced from 15 to 25 %) and  get their business on new level. Also, they powered by Smart-contracts & Socratus Oracles. It means that there is no more solo human decisions to pay or not to pay, no more lingering manual claims handling procedures. From my point of view, it is innovative and fit the market.

I don’t think that it is ever possible that bitcoin ever will loose its existence as we all know that bitcoin is very sustainable crypto currency and moreover it has proved its sustainability by making its existence since 2008, the year in which bitcoin was introduced but I don’t think that bitcoin will loose its existence and its dominance ever because bitcoin is still in controversy because of its over dominance over all other crypto currency and I am sure that this will end up with being declared central currency globally.

Bitcoin is not going to lose its dominance, why do you think that it will happen? there are no reasons to see it happening on the near future, so for me, bitcoin will always be the most strong coin on the entire market that is constantly changing

I think it will be quite a long while until Bitcoin looses it dominance.  I think the bankers want to take control of it and use it.  I think we are going to make a historic rise soon.  I cannot see anyway possible Bitcoin not being number 1 until at least 2030.

The price dominance of bitcoins over other types of crypto currency may decrease if it loses in its capitalization level in comparison with the total capitalization of the remaining crypto-currency. If this happens, then I think that it will be only better, because bitcoin will cease to exert pressure on the formation of prices for other types of crypto currency. Coins and tokens, at last, can freely develop and form their own price policy. The crypto currency market will finally find its maturity.

Yes.I know bitcoin will surely come to an end but i think it's  still a long way to happen.Nowadays, bitcoin is still the most dominant coin among all other crypto coins so let's just enjoy its potentials, and all the benefits we gained from it.There may be new coins that will rise in the coming years but knowing bitcoin is simply irreplaceable.

seeing the vast amount of promising alts projects makes you wonder about the future of the cryptosphere. As we all see, bitcoin which is the initial gateway into the world of cryptocurrency has been losing its dominance over the last years for many reasons, we should not be afraid of this, bitcoin losing its dominance means that it's giving more space to other projects to shine and we need this because many coins are introducing innovative and unique ideas to resolve different issues.

we saw that in the slightest decrease of market cap in general the dominance again is on btc as investors think that it is the most secure one among coins, so in good times it can lose the dominance temporarily but not permanently.

when bitcoin loses its positions, other coins are raised. this is very important for competition, since it is the engine of progress.

Yes, this would be interesting to see. Most likely, in this case bitcoin will lose its price dominance over the rest of the crypto currency and it will finally crypto currency be free to form its own price. In fact, in fact, we do not have a free market at the moment. Bitcoin fell after its December pumping, and all the crypto currency for more than six months because of bitcoin lies on the price day, ICO projects barely survive. This not normal. We have a decentralized crypto currency, which in this case depends entirely on bitcoin. If there was not such a sharp difference in the capitalization between the crypto-currencies, then such a sad situation would not exist.

Another crypto will take its place and the other alts will be compared to the price of the new coin on top. Just because BTC was the first cryptocurrency doesn't mean it will always stay at the top. With that said, I don't think it will go as low as 5% or less.

Nothing particularly important will happen. BTC is valueable because people think that is valuable and can be transferred. There are coins that due to their low supply are even more expensive that BTC and their share in the market is none. So the value of BTC has nothing to do with its dominance. And I am not sure if BTC will lose that dominance completely - there is alredy too many coins and tokens, most of them must fall.

I think we can not measure the exact number of bitcoin's domination in crypto market. But, its true that lately the price of bitcoin still down grading. As a person who believe in bitcoin, im sure that it will not make bitcoin lose the domination of crypto market. But, if bitcoin loses its dominance maybe i will move into other altcoin.

I think if bitcoin will lose its dominance. Many people here will have doubts in bitcoin. And they will start not to trust bitcoin. And they  stay away from bitcoin.
