I've been CPU mining for 3 days now at 3500 - 4500 k\hashes using the "puddinpop" 4way miner. Correct username, correct password, etc.
Every couple minutes, I do get "Found Hash! Sending to server: ... Server sent: {"result": true..." does this mean I got a share?
For all the 3 days I was mining, I got 0 found blocks and 0 shares. what it happening!? Huh Angry Sad

Well, doesn't "Found Hash!" mean it found a block?

Well, doesn't "Found Hash!" mean it found a block?

No, it means you found a hash fitting the pool difficulty (for the purpose of determination of shares), which is way, way, waaaaaaaaaay lower than network difficulty, which would produce a block.

You not getting any rewards is again related to you CPU-mining Bitcoin. Your contribution is way too low to account for any shares.

To illustrate:

If this represents the combined mining effort of everyone on the pool.

Then your contribution is about this big:

That's a grain of sand.

Actually I'm lying. The grain of sand is in reality way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than your contribution, but it get's difficult to visualize things below a certain scale.

I though that you were mining an other coin (different than bitcoin), not btc. That's why I asked which one

Well, doesn't "Found Hash!" mean it found a block?

A block?  Like, 25BTC? hahaha you wish.
On slush's pool, the statics, what does it say?  Does it say you have no shares?
I'm pretty new to mining, but you have only 3.5MH/s which is a lot slower than mine, if you don't have free electricity, I recommend you stop NOW.
Like greyhawk said, because your mining at such a low KH/s, your contributing so low it's very hard to get any shares.

You need to be a junior member. At the moment you are a "newbie".
Then, you can send PMs. Just wait now. You only need 1 post
