Nothing comes with a 100% guarantee of Security, not even the PAID security tools. But certainly, the tips below will get you enough close to the mark. Hope this may help you.

1. Securing a Wallet is similar to securing your personal data on the computer. You have to be aware of links, advertisement, any type of attachment etc. which appears when a browser is being suffered.

2. Always create backups of your cryptocurrency wallets. So, that it will let you restore your wallet if in case your laptop or cell phone gets stolen.

3. Opening an account to buy cryptocurrency? Set up a unique E-mail id that you’re going to use for that account and never share that id with anyone.

4. Encrypt your whole device in which you are going to use cryptocurrency wallet. Make sure you have the best anti-virus installed on your device and keep it up to date including anti-malware and anti-ransomware.

5. Set up a really hard and long password where it is only able to recover from a piece of paper that you control.

6. Don’t use two-factor authentication on an SMS that could be ported. Instead, using something a bit more like Google Authenticator or yubikey would be much better.

7. Never share the name of cryptocurrency or wallet which you use on social media or with unknown people, Keep it private.

8. Diversify your risk, Buy cryptocurrency across multiple exchanges. So, that in case if one exchange is hacked other will remain accessible.

9. Always use offline wallets.

10. Always use the cold wallet to keep cryptocurrency safe off the internet and cold wallet is like the saving account. While the hot wallet is linked to the internet and should only be used for everyday transactions.

11. The decentralized system doesn’t store funds. Nobody has any access to money accept the owner of that money.

Everything in life is dangerous. You can lose your money in banks because the bank goes bankrupt. You can lose your money at home because thieves may break in ans steal everything. You may lose your money in the form of real estate if the market collapses, is an earthquacke strikes, if it gets taxed or nationalized. You can buy bars of gold from a respectable bank which then turn out being filled with tungsten (it has happened in Germany). And - yes, you can have Bitcoins and a hacker steals them if you don't pay enough attention...

Its no longer news that an ICO in Japan has lost over $400 million to hackers. They promised to pay back investors who invested in their ICO. Thsi is a huge loss. After I read that news, I began to wonder. How safe is Bitcoin and Other altcoins? What measures should we take to avoid being hacked ?
The best thing we can do is always enable 2fa, do not used our devises in a public places, do not click any suspicious link because there are so many hackers use this kind of tricks, Do not trust anyone to know your private key or password.
This is right. We have to take care of our passwords and private keys so that we can have a secure and safe wallet. Whenever there is something big with you, there is big risk along too. So be careful and implement such best practices that takes you up the mark. Things aren’t that much stupid but pole often don’t care about theory society which is so ignorant behavior. They must be concerned with it.

With bitcoin prices increasing, hackers will be more frequent about encryption. On the security of encryption I think it is the most critical to develop a good PC usage habit. It is necessary to clean up the Internet cookie regularly, keep the private key in a safe place, and don't click on suspicious links.

It is not the bitcoin itself that got hack, it is the company or the site itself that gets hacked and the hackers stole the bitcoin and that is the lesson there, we should not fully put our trust to the people or to their site for taking care of our bitcoins and we should do it by our own by having some strong and durable wallet like the hardware wallet for example, the trezor wallet.

I've experienced it here already. it was on my first account with a junior member rank (fairytale was the name). i joined the signature campaign and i already received my tokens but my account got hacked they changed the email address plus the mew wallet, i was so devasted but what else can i do? it has been already stolen. so i just decided to create a new one, starting from scratch again but now i created my password strongly just to be safe (i hope so).

Well, it's less about hackers and more about self-responsibility. We have experienced numerous incidents of hacking and stealing the coins but as we all know that Cryptocurrencies are secure as a technology but hackers exploit the loopholes of the users and the lack of maturity. Let's admit the fact that we can arrest and punish every hacker out there but we can always take care of our own crypto funds and this is applicable to the companies involved in ICOs too.

I think we should always enable the 2fa to get high secure, don't let anyone know your password, private key and other information, do not click any suspicious link so think before you click, and do not connect any of your devices in public places because this is the trick of the hackers.
That’s the way to deal with crypto coins. The security of an asset depends on his holder. Bitcoin itself is very secure but it does not mean exchanges or wallets hold that security two. For example, if a person keeps on entering his credentials whenever asked without thinking about why this information is required or is it even necessary for what he is heading for, it won’t be anyone else’s fault if the security of his asset gets compromised.

In other words , there's always a risk following.
No matter what you do , just be more careful by take a prevention step . It's not the matter cryptocurrency vulnerable , it's actually really safe if you do know how the real crypto works. But yeah considering cryptocurrency are so worthy nowadays it makes those people with bad intention pay more attention on this,

I'm in 400,000 euros debt , dont help me , i rather die

You must be careful of keeping your bitcoin and altcoin to the safest wallet and the private key must be keep safely. You must don't visit to the link that are pishing because scammer can get your private information to scam your wallet. In terms of trading you must be carefully to your customers because a lot of scammer and you must know this person.

Yes it is very important that your wallet is safe and your private key is also safe, so i think you should check to your account because hackers can steal your money in your account, but bitcoin can never lose your money because they try to safe your account for long term and how much you want to hold your money in bitcoin, so you should never be panic about it.

we must make our own security itself that really difficult to be penetrated by hacker

Sadly, not all of us, Bitcoin and digital currencies users have the knowledge to create or make a software or an application that will secure our balances, maybe you can do it but there a lot of other people that can't.

beside of that we also have to be careful in opening emails from people we do not know.

Opening emails are safe, I have a lot of spams emails and I've never experienced being hacked. Reading and opening them is safe but if they have some suspicious links in that emails, always think of it carefully before pressing that certain link.
Opening email is safe if you are using trusted mail service providers like gmail or icloud I assume, but if you have your own mailserver, then it can be disaster, also, there's not only "links" inside that spam mail that  you need to be careful but also file that's attached to the mail. sometimes, our curiousity just can bring us a disaster and losing our crypto.

Of course there is. Being online does not instantly mean you are not safe , you can still be safe as long as you know that you are only visiting the trusted and secured websites with https before their url address. that is a sign that a website is secure and has a private connection and it is recomended to only browse those sites of you are too conscious about your safety.

why not? One feature of trading platform or online exchanges is to have a deposit option where user can deposit their coins and funds to be able to do automatic ordering ( buy & sell ) in that way they can just easily leave it if ever they are busy on any other things. These platforms are known be secure and hard to hack because it stores a lot of money.

Why would people do make things complicated? There are common email providers which is secure as long you do know how to set security on it 2fa and verification then you wont really be easily got hacked. So as with our crypto wallets. Security would always matter on users negligence on how he would keep it safe. Hackers are everywhere and just waiting up for an opportunity to see an opening to stole money from people.

Protect your mobile phone and your cable, and don't click on a strange Internet connection! Pay attention to update antivirus software!

Enhance password security!

Don't reveal your wallet address and wallet assets at will!
It vies from technology to technology. If we talk about ETH and Bitcoin, both of them are secure and I have not heard in a while from anyone about the security issue of the money they have invested in the business. All the technologies should really keep it their first priority to make sure the system is running secure and to assure people that the technology is safe to invest in. Yes the presence of hackers is alarming but that does not affect the Bitcoin technology and few other.

For one thing, you should really take care of your password and keys to open an account. Let's also not be dumb enough to do monetary transactions in a public network. Lastly, do yourself a favor and change passwords often. These simple things are usually common sense but here you go.
