it depends how you save it,
if you keep it in exchange for trading, use 2fa for each exchange and 2fa sms for the email you use, but if you keep it for long term, I suggest to use wallet hardware like trezor

Some things that you can to do avoid being hacked
1. Before you open up an account on exchanges, set up an unique email that you are going to use for that account.
2. Make sure to set a really hard and long password, and you are the only one to access it from a piece of paper that you control
3. Turn off SMS-based two-factor authentication and account recovery for your email account.
4. Don't keep all your cryptocurrency investments in one place. Diversify among exchanges. It's unlikely you are going to get hacked at the same time through all of them. Especially, if you have different emails and passwords for each

Not only crypto is affected by hackers even your normal account is subject to hacking. The best therefore is for you to secure your password and guard your private key jealously. If you have enough fund, I would also encourage you to get a paper or hardware wallet. With that safety is guaranteed.

If to consider the general situation, then nobody can be insured for 100% of actions of hackers (the exception makes full offline the mode). Can be cracked any device in network though the cryptocurrency exchange though bank.

It's not only about Bitcoin or Altcoin, every data that is connected to the internet is not safe & is susceptible to get hacked. Only the data which is kept offline is safe & is same with cryptocurrency you have to do your own due diligence to keep safe your private keys, offline preferred by using hardware wallet or a PC which you are not going to connect with internet both ways act as a cold storage. Crypto Exchanges & ICO are now more targeted by hackers as due to crypto anonymity feature, they don't get caught with stolen funds.

Its no longer news that an ICO in Japan has lost over $400 million to hackers. They promised to pay back investors who invested in their ICO. Thsi is a huge loss. After I read that news, I began to wonder. How safe is Bitcoin and Other altcoins? What measures should we take to avoid being hacked ?
Honestly, we cannot predict who will be the next victim of hackers that is why preventing and avoiding them pr untrusted person is the best solution for us not to be hacked. Always keep your private keys safe and do not try to open in any of your accounts in public places, so no one could notice and see your private keys.

Yes we have hackers all around buy the truth is that people will need to be educated on the safety precautions of their wallets and they will be fine.Hackers can only take advantage of those who are innocent about their activities. People really need a lot of education about cryptocurrency in general because the fear of hackers are all the reasons some people fear to invest.

The safetiness of your coins will be depending on where you are placing it, let say you are placing it on the market or in the wallet then you can really on its level of security.

Smart hackers though 2fa are easy to hack so we need to be extra careful for everything we do especially in transactions and everything. Hackers are everywhere and even we avoid them, they always hack again and again. We can not blame ico for hacking hackers because nobody wants to steal their money

If we will always listen to the news about cryptocurrency getting hacked its really alarming and we really wonder how safe is our money in the digital wallet we kept in... if these things that happens in Japan how much more we are.. we could be the next victim too if we do not make such precautionary measure to keep our cyrpto safe and sound and secure to where we put it..

Even without cryptocurrency, there are hackers everywhere, either they’re buy hacking emails and breaching securities, or maybe they are doing something else that is related to such to harm people, and sending out viruses. Though cryptocurrency is a little worst because it has to do with our money and when they hack it they will steal your money. But there are still lots of ways you can avoid being a victim of such evil hackers who do nothing good to the community, you can set up 2fa, get a separate comp. for your Bitcoin wallet and also avoid opening and replying mails from an unknown sender.

Before any cryptocurrency, hackers already exist and appears everywhere, they've hacked the phone network, website and even ATMs didn't escape the target of hackers.
As we have known before, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency built on the basis of blockchain a decentralized ledger to all network nodes which makes bitcoin has many advantages especially on the security side. Blockchain Bitcoin is highly unlikely to be hacked because of the use of SHA-256 encryption that can not be reached by human reason to solve the mathematical puzzle. However, the real vulnerability of hacking and theft occurs only in the Bitcoin Wallet not on the bitcoin or its users.

Your right, there's a lot of hackers right now in cryptocurrency because they can get a large of money or millions of dollars. I think the hackers is very smart person because they have ability to hack other website or anything in the internet but it's not good work. But if the hackers are smart they need more smarter person who can protect their project I think it is good way to safe our money.

We don’t know when and which wallet or site they will hack. Crypto is safe, but we don’t know if the developer of wallets or even exchange do they best to protect their company from the hacker. If you have cared for your wallets and accounts and if you choose wallet to make sure this wallets or exchange provide strong security. We can only do to protect our accounts from the hacker is to split our coins into different wallets.

Cryptocurrency will be safe depending on the market who is holding in it, the reason why people are relying on exchangers or wallets is because of their security system so your coins will still be safe depending on what you are currently using.

I think there is something wrong with what you have just said. For a better security do not trust or put your money on any exchanges wallet because when something happens like this you will not going to get it back. No matter what or high the security of any exchanges just don't put your crypto to them because it will going to happen one day. That's why for a better security you have to put your crypto to any hardware wallet or never share your private key to anyone put your private key to a piece of paper and do not share it to anyone. That's it!

For one thing, you should really take care of your password and keys to open an account. Let's also not be dumb enough to do monetary transactions in a public network. Lastly, do yourself a favor and change passwords often. These simple things are usually common sense but here you go.
I mostly doubt on antivirus software and unknown emails. These are from hackers and when you click on them your computer date has been hacked and hackers can use your data according to their well. It is secure not to open any unknown emails and never install not recommended antivirus in your computer. Never reveal your address.

Every one of us is not protected from programmer hacker they do they best to get a bitcoin or altcoins. The initial step of the programmer hacker is they do the phishing site once you put your data into it. They can get all your data to keep away from it put the wrong private key. If your data, you put is substantial this phishing site. The second focus of the programmer hacker is your email accounts to stay away from it ensure that you have email authentication. There are allocate more this exclusive I know to maintain a strategic distance from programmer hacker.
