I'm not sure if they are just ignored, or if there is any other sort of process in place now.

From the main account recovery thread:

If you use any sort of Google email service, then the password recovery email will go to your spam folder.

If you want us to recover a hacked/lost account, you need to prove that you own it. Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile.

I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time. If I point you to this thread, you can't prove ownership properly, and then I ignore your future PMs, this means that I'm not going to recover your account. Create a new one.

Send one PM to Cyrus. If Cyrus doesn't respond after two weeks, you can try sending a PM to me instead. When sending a PM, use a template like this:

If unlocking an account with so many proofs takes nearly 8 months, you are clearly understaffed. This is not acceptable, and is a clear reason to mistrust the whole BCT team.

Helping people that have been active for years on the forum should be a top priority, and not take so long. It is a 10min job. Just do it ffs.

Its a Hero account. I guess being a Hero could prove you to be an old early investor.  People are dying to acquire merit, this Hero account need not to which makes it quite valuable to the owner.  We kept using different BTC address I don't think he still have the old btc address after years.

If he had used MEW and have posted an ETH address before, I think the ETH sign message is now acceptable.

AFAIK sign message only the way to recover your account and you've to wait about 6 month to get Admin's response because account recovery still low priority.

But if you can send 1 BTC , I think admin will response much faster , less than 6 month
