I am waiting for him. It has been confirmed : https://www.facebook.com/business/news/new-ads-policy-improving-integrity-and-security-of-financial-product-and-services-adsIt needed to be done, we need more ICO standards and people to be smarter. If people weren't investing in coins like bitconnect then we wouldn't run into this problem. Adoption is great, but at the same time when you have more people investing and entering the space you have a lot of people buying coins without researching.

This is a bad news for cryptocurrency because facebook is one of the best site to promote and advertise the ICO and other things in crypto world. This could be a big effect and make popularization get slow but hoping that many people continuous helping crypto currency to promote in other forum site and other social media sites.

I can see two sides to this honestly.
First, this is of course bad news to all of us crypto investors that participate in ICOs. Without mainstream public adoption in upcoming ICOs from facebook, no doubt the raised capital will be much less, potentially lowering global marketcap.
On the other hand, there are too many dodgy ICOs that whilst I'm not saying regulations are the solution (the whole point of blockchain is to avoid regulations from central authorities) - something needs to be done, most likely by the community through some form of central registrar - whereby ICOs and their teams can be better vetted. There have been too many underperforming ICOs recently that have been heavily hyped, costing investors a lot of money. This will be more of an issue if this bear market continues.
I think the cryptosphere needs some more time to mature and gain trust, and the dodgy ICOs somehow prevented, to prevent mainstream investors getting burnt more. If they continue to get burnt this will only give crypto as a whole a bad name as people tell one another that the whole sphere is a scam, even though of course we know better. The fact is most investors won't do due diligence.

I found this pretty interesting. They are letting me advertise my Youtube Channel, and cryptocurrency news website and FB page, so it's not all ads. . . . At least for now!

This was expected to be honest. People were taking advantage of it. Why not just do simple and legit ads instead of "Invest in our ICO for 100x profit"? If everyone used them as it should, probably no ban.

Exactly. This is what I thought to be the real reason why Facebook banned all ads promoting ICO or anything related to crypto. Maybe they have been pressure by the government for all we know. However, when crypto booms in the 3th quarter of last year, there are a lot of scammy ICO's that sprout out like mushrooms. And the unsuspecting victims all fell for them because of the promise to give them huge dividends. Its also hard to filter out scam vs legit and trusted ICO's. They are evolving as well. So with Facebook banning them, it will be really hard for scammers to advertise their ICO as Facebook is the #1 social media right now. Although they still have other options to promote it, I'm sure that all other social media will follow what Mark and his company has set as precedence.

Let's wait for official confirmation from the Facebook media desk....
Let's hope that its just a hearsay , because if it is true, then it can affect to our bounty hunting . FB is one of main social media in bounty campaign.

I am waiting for him. Me too. I hope this news is not real. I cant imagine how it can affect to the social media bountycampaign. Through all social medias, FB is one of the most effective and active in advertisement in crypto these days .

People who want to advertise cryptocurrencies can do it using various methods either on Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, and so on. They can pay famous Youtubers and tell them to say something about cryptocurrency at the end of the video, thus crypto will be well-advertised and without any problems.
People do not care about Ads on fb even if they are about cryptocurrency. Personally, I do not like seeing them on facebook. They are very annoying. And I believe they have already banned those Ads from fb.

Well, we are different. I like the way I saw many crypto advertisements on fb which you can choose various of platforms to be invested especially those with good platforms but not so popular. The only I hated platforms which posted on fb are those with networking system with referral bonuses. Facebook is an advantage to people who are new in the crypto world but want to invest a new platforms. For me its good , but spammers abused it.

I think it is not a good news not only for bounty hunter but also developer and bounty manager, facebook is one of best media to advertise a product specifically ICO in this case. If facebook is banned, then bounty manager and developer should find other social media or mass media to advertise their products. As bounty hunter, it is important to follow the instruction from developer or bounty management. Perhaps it is better also bounty hunter to assist by inputting idea or feeding alternatives.

There is nothing to worried i think. It only banning advertisements not our posts so that we can post as before. Moreover it is on discussing process, it will work after activation of company.

Facebook has banned all types of advertising in order to allow personal content. This ban covers most companies and big brands including Bitcoin and the rest cryptocurrencies,

This is definitely going to hurt up and coming ICOs as FB is a major part of any ICOs marketing arsenal. There are other platforms, but none as targeted as FB
