I feel like bitcoin price is recovering way too fast after the last bubble burst. Could it be that the bubble was just the beginning of something much bigger ?

I can't get the image out of my head, you know the one (posted by Adamstgbit I think) of bears in denial, huddled in a corner, rocking back and forth, repeatedly murmuring "getting money out of Gox".

$434? Why that number?

I figure it gets closer to triple digits before crashing down to a couple of hundred.

Just take a look at this chart:

In the previous bubble, the number of new members was stable when the bubble was over. And what do we see now? Stable number of new members Smiley

Everyone seems quite convinced we're going to to 200+... I wouldn't be surprised to see it fall back to 100-120 next week. It went up too fast again... it needs to happen more gradual.

Someone pumping 2.5m usd into the market will only make the price go up for a short time. It is not sustainable unless there is a lot of new interest or ground breaking news.

It can go up to 200 usd before people start understanding that the recent increase in price was manipulated.
If the price keeps increasing, why would people sell now?

I don't know.  People are not that patient in general.  I think many that purchased above $200 were upset when they did not make a quick profit and then sold at a loss.  Maybe they are even buying now that it is rising again?  It is hard to say.  I think many of us have been buying all along though.  I have purchased but not sold any.  I don't have a huge amount by any means, but I just like have some as a way to diversify investments.

Look at the bottom after the huge bubble. Bulls went to war at $50 pumping $100 million(?) into bitcoin. Then again we came to retest that number at about $60ish and we rebounded. If there ever has been a solid foundation for bitcoin it's been set. Even if it were to try and break lower those with massive investment could easily manipulate the market higher to defend/escape their position.
