USBs sent Grin If you want your tracking details PM me.

- - - - - - - -

Did YXT give any indication on ETA of the Blades?

Still waiting on an ETA for the blades, I believe they're in customs so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Everyone who ordered some USB miners, will receive them by 1:00pm tomorrow Grin

Let's see if my postman can get his arse here before 12:55 this time Smiley

Does he not know every second counts!?!? heh

Thank you
with me by 11am - hashing away now (more glowing trust left)

No more USB's for me now as all hubs, ports now full.

So onto blades....
Before ordering one

I've read that I need :-
--> Stratum proxy
--> Butchered PSu and paper clips?? (this concerns me)
--> Volt meter

Have any of you Ladies / Gents got any "BONE" instructions please?

so if it needs a stratum proxy doesnt that mean you need to run it with a hostcomputer??
or does it mean once you set it up you can shutdown your computer?

You could mine with getwork - but (I'm not sure if this is *true*)
Most home networks are nat'ed behind 1 IP address and stratum is more efficient in those situations with multiple clients
Less stales (pls correct me if i'm wrong)

I'm going to see if I can run the proxy on the same machine my USB's are plugged into
Sadly it's Ubuntu 12.04 on a super crap laptop and it took me forever to get cgminer working
(In fact it took me forever to Ubuntu working lol, but i've sold all my GPU's and don't want to power up my old WIN 7 rigs)

The shorting of the PSU seems straight forward - BUT A PAPER CLIP! in this day and age....
The wire splitting and overvolting requires a shade more research on my behalf, before I'll even attempt it.

There are cheap enough molex bridging tools on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ATX-PSU-Bridging-Tool-24-Pin-Turns-PSU-on-without-Motherboard-/190791414522?pt=UK_Computing_Water_Cooling&hash=item2c6c0df2fa

This account was hacked & possibly sold during the period of August 1st and October 24th 2017.
Anything done or said in this period wasnt me.
Many thanks to Cyrus for his help restoring access to my account.

There's still some pools that work with getwork - Eligius and BTCGuild both still have getwork servers.  The stratum proxy is simple to run however.

I'm planning on running my Blade mining towards the stratum proxy running on my home server (it's on 24/7 so no big fuss there), and the backup pool on the Blade will be going towards either Eligius or BTCGuild's getwork server.

As for PSU, I'm currently running an old 30A 12V bench supply (the type used by HAM radio and CB Radio folks).  It's not very efficient (big old transformer), but it was free.  I'm currently running the fans and USB hub for the Block Erupters off it, and it's running at a little over 2A load.   The fan in it is on a thermostat, so it's starting and stopping every few minutes, which means I might end up going the ATX PSU route.

If you run Linux, you can also point the Blade to the getwork server built in to the latest version of BFGMiner - one program could run your USB sticks, Blade, GPUs, etc.

Thank you, I'll look into BFGminer then, hopefully there's a Get-App version that just installs lol
I'm not a Linux aficionado, it was just decent option to squeeze some life out of an old laptop - so far, so good.
(sold all my GPU's, too much heat, noise and hassle...)

You need BFGMiner 3.2.0 for the getwork server, so I think you'll probably have to .git and compile.  I'm a serious linux n00b too, so don't ask me how. Smiley
