If we have an international top music act and free admission for ladies
there should be no problems with the boobies supply.

Maybe we could also give a few free tickets to the press for a giveaway
to local people in general? Could draw the attention to the event,
and we want to advertise the btc, won't we?

I say fuck the press. If Bitcoin hits $1,000, it will have plenty of press already. The only thing press cares about is sensationalism. Think photos and stories of wealthy bitcoiners getting drunk, and being caught doing something embarrassing. Or stories about how they are now rich elitist assholes. And some pictures, in case your neighbors want to track you down. Stories about good or nice things don't sell.

correct, bitcoin jumping over 1000 $ will be a media event; the party will also get media coverage. i agree that we have to be very careful about the press. we thought it would be best to allow some media coverage, but not inside the actual party. there will be a small open/public area with media allowed and a larger area, where it is strictly private, no press, no cameras - only us behaving nuts/losing respect ... I guess for the $10,000 party, we just buy an island outright?

my recommendation is that the party is OK. but it should not be a out of control event where anybody can do what he wants. no secret area and no hooters. but it would be good to have a separate room with a stage where professionels can hold speeches, buffet, music etc.

This event should not drive into a mess because then anybody will loose respect to the very important Bitcoins.

Name suggestion:

Bitcoin@1k Party

To use "Bitcoin" instead of "btc" is important because it should
be easy to be found by new people googling for bitcoin-news.

Dollar sign $ should be avoided in the name like fiat should
be avoided in the event  Wink

Anyway it's just an idea...

Or maybe 1K IMF SDRs?  Call it the Special x K Parity Party.

This would put the party a little sooner, probably.

I will come too. Tickets for 2 or ev more.

I have a great idea, let´s engage Alicia Keys to sing the "Proudhon song" at the party.

Signatures lead to paid signature programs which leads to spam!

Clearly we must eliminate the signatures... or ban the paid sig programs
