I'll second that.

what to expect
there will be a customer service (email) if you have questions you do not want to discuss in this thread. on the days around the party there will be a hotline available for you. once you step out the airport building there will be a shuttle service that brings you to your hotel and later to the venue (the driver will supply you with a mask if you don´t want to be exposed to media when entering the battlefield). at the party you will be welcomed like a celebrity, including stretch limo, red carpet, cheering fans... professional security will guard the event. inside there will be a public section, also open for media, maybe some booths where bitcoin projects and sponsors can be met and registration.
the larger section will be kept strictly private, non-commercial, no media, no cameras. a luxurious 5 star catering will spoil everyone until late, several bars will serve class a drinks, all kinds of booze all night long (all included). there will be artists, an international dj line-up on several floors and a main event with some superstar (suggestions for superstar/dj are welcome). expect a chill out area, and of course you be able to get online. the program will include an event concerning charity. the shuttle service will bring you back to your hotel (or directly to the airport when you are  serious party animal)

(...)

Suggestions for a DJ ? Hell ya, sure!

How about the most skilled ones on the planet ?

it´s still not decided. the orga-team is heavily biased towards frankfurt. berlin is the alternative and there are good reasons for it.

in the end - it will not matter in what city you experience your personal 'hangover 4' experience... Grin

Cool. I vote for Berlin. And this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7znmhGkw2Y

i have a question: what if bitcoin reaches $1,000 and suddenly crashes down to $500.. would you still have the party? what if all the planning is done and then just before people are ready to fly out.. it crashes? will you guys figure out a way to cash out once it hits $1,000?

we will cash out at 1000 (or above, depends on when we finally close ticket sales)
so expenses will all be covered. the problem with crashing is that the media would jump on it when we have a 1000 $ party but the price just crashed to 120... they will have a laugh...

edit:
in that case we need professional counseling i guess. i will start interviews with possible counselors tomorrow:

Where is the party?

What was the final decision?

If nothing has been determined yet, methinks we are not prepared LOL

yep, we are run over by reality a bit. we will stick to our plan. if party is triggered now, we will try to set it up 90 days later. if you want to make sure that you are not missing any info, leave your email on website: https://btc1k.com/

I intend to buy a ticket
Discounted tickets denominated as an investment in 1 XBT are not going to be discounted for much longer,

And also done even start planning until we are in the clear.

Awwwwww! My husband bought a few bitcoins a couple of months ago, and now that he's seen his investment go up a lot, he doesn't want us to go to the party and giving up any bitcoins. He just wants us to hold onto as many bitcoins as we can. So you may be deprived of my stripperlicious booty  Cry

Yep. It was exactly BTC1,000 BTC, spend when bitcoins jumped from $10 all the way to over $22, and I thought it was a bubble I should get out of while I can. The nice round number makes tracking the cost of my car rather easy Cheesy

Also, nice to hear my Prius is that well known. I should take some new pictures of it, since I put an extra $1,000 into it to pimp it up a bit  Grin

man, i am struggling sooooo hard to reach 1000 btc. almost impossible.  i guess i rather buy a prius also and just pretend it´s worth 1 k btc

and yes, your prius is well known when people in heidelberg or frankfurt meet and talk about btc and cars. you served the community   Wink
