Been seeing a lot of questions about securities. Here's a good article explaining what they are: https://blog.polymath.network/what-in-the-world-is-a-security-token-8f27b39e6b1b

In my opinion, securities will be the future. Creating stock market 2.0 on the blockchain would mean 24/7/365 trading. Some big things for the crypto community this year.

It blows my mind that the wave for securities is coming so quickly. First with polymath and now with projects like Gibraltar blockchain exchange. What a time to be a part of these types of projects. Polymath isn't even listed on exchanges and they're going for $1 lol

Security tokens are physical devices used to gain access to an electronically restricted resource. The token is used in addition to or in place of a password. It acts like an electronic key to access something. Examples include a wireless keycard opening a locked door, or in the case of a customer trying to access their bank account online, the use of a bank provided token can prove that the customer is who they claim to be.

The token security is a physical device authorized by a user of a given computer service to facilitate authentication, token security is also used to prove one's identity electronically (as in the case of customers trying to access their bank account).

Security Token is a security alert given by a company to maintain its data security. Usually companies that use Security Token are banks.

this year is absolutely a year for cryptocurrency. there will be very much project inbounce ^^

a token security is base on the platform which it was released.
so I think a token even more secure than that coins. cause devs can add some more securities feature over the platform coin.

Great article indeed, but it hasn't mentioned very important (to my mind) detail: security tokens are subject to federal securities regulations, so it may make the situation with crypto regulation more complicated. And of course, this type of tokens will not be accepted by that part of the community that values their anonymity and fights against such procedures as KYC.

I agree with the concept, but I think it's just another way for the elite, to gain control over whole world of blockchain, well it will be, in the future, the only up side is because of scams and for companies, to not fail in less than one year of their operation.

Security is the main difference of cryptocurrencies, I work with Monero, as an example, and its security is so good that makes it the most anonymous altcoin for me.

Articles are so interesting and I hope that the amount of safe tokens will be rising. Nowadays I know only one really safe alternative cryptocurrency and it is Monero.

spectre is a security token too?

Anyways, i read this in the link --> "Polymath’s security token protocol embeds regulatory requirements into the tradeable tokens themselves, which are available to verified participants only"

So, for the first time in crypto the market when you can trade financial assets will be regulated?

Security Token Offerings should not be considered just like the new ICOs. It is a completely new thing, which has its own pluses and minuses, but the biggest difference is that they are backed by something real

Thanks for the link. Sure, security tokens are like an stocks at the traditional market. They bring the profit to their holders, but this type of tokens should be registered at special committee like SEC.

At Bitbond we launched the Bitbond STO, Germany's first Security Token Offering. We also created this blog post that relates directly to your question. We strongly believe that security tokens are the way investments will work in the future.
