Last day to buy coins from me. I will be out of town for about 4 months starting Monday. I have already exited the Ebay market, so that is wide open for anyone that wants to flip these.

Buyers Beware:

This Ebay listing is being advertised as a Special First Edition coin, but the picture shows a Regular First Edition coin. Special First Edition coins have a window in the hologram showing the firstbits, Regular First Edition coins do not. Regular First Edition coins may have been assembled by the buyer and not by myself, so there is a bigger potential for getting scammed when buying these coins from third parties.

The coin in this listing is not a Special First Edition coin: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ONE-CryptoVest-Physical-LITECOIN-SPECIAL-First-Edition-Cryptocoin-Crypto-/262533815188?hash=item3d203c1b94:g:cMYAAOSwbsBXjjCe

Sorry for the late response, I currently have them on sale on Ebay for $20 a pop. I am still willing to honor the $10/coin offer, just make an offer on Ebay.

I worked at a ski resort this winter, and am planning on working on a cruise ship again this summer. Meaning... the coins I am selling will be taken off the market from around May until November, as I will be unable to fulfill orders.

I hope everyone is doing wonderful!!!  Smiley Grin

Good afternoon.

It would be $10 per coin, plus shipping:

Express shipping (3 to 5 business days) is $60.75
Priority shipping (6 to 10 business days) is $40.95

This is the Great Bitcointalk Buddy Deal the seller of this coins made me last year by personal message.
40+ dollars for shipping a 10 dollar coin. But now I see buyers from my country eBay he is charging only $13.13 !

Thanks for the Bitcointalk Buddy penalty. I am Still pissed !

Don't be salty bro, it is nothing personal. I had wayyy too many coins go mysteriously missing via cheaper shipping methods when shipping internationally.

I would have to send out a second, and sometimes a third coin to these international buyers whose coins went missing... eventually giving a full refund if the 3rd attempt was unsuccessful.

I can only afford to send 3 coins and pay for shipping three times, then give a full refund so many times. Unfortunately, the more expensive shipping methods are the only reliable ones to a lot of countires.

Thanks for your interest though.

Maybe, I am not sure. The only international purchase I had on there asked me to send an invoice with shipping costs added.

Usually I think, at least in my limited Ebay experience, Ebay takes care of international shipping through their International Shipping Program, which charges the buyer extra for shipping... at a price determined by Ebay.

I guess if I have any issues with it, then I can disable international shipping, but so far I haven't.

I have just now sold out of Special First Edition coins. Thanks to anyone that was interested and/or purchased some!

I decided to keep ~50 for my personal collection and/or future coin projects.

Thanks!

How to convert a Litecoin mini private key to other formats?

This question has come up a few times via PM, so I thought I would share the answer here. Some Litecoin wallets don't support the mini key format (which is what the coin inserts are printed in.)

The easiest way to do it is to use: https://liteaddress.org/

If you are paranoid, then you can save the web site to your computer and use it offline, but all conversions happen client-side anyways and your private key is never sent to the server.

Click on "Wallet Details" and enter the mini key exactly as it is on the coin insert.

It will give you the private key translated into multiple formats, including WIF format and others.

----------------------

Do you have any holograms leftover for non-special edition or DIY coins?

No, I destroyed all remaining holograms several months ago. I myself do not even have any extra holograms for my personal collection. All I have left now are coins that have already been assembled. I have sold all the coins that I want to at this point, and I am planning on keeping the ones I have left for a long time.

----------------------

Let me know if you have any trouble converting keys or redeeming coins. So far... (knock on wood), I have been able to solve all issues for anyone that has contacted me privately about having issues redeeming CryptoVest coins.

The only known issue (which is pretty much a non-issue, just an inconvenience) thus far has to do with the font I used to print the private key inserts. It is sometimes challenging to distinguish which character the private key is due to similarities in the font and the small font size. If you are having trouble redeeming a private key and you are sure you are doing it correctly, then try looking for characters that may look alike, such as: 8 and B, k and K, or 1 and I.

In one instance, someone was having trouble redeeming a CryptoVest coin, and after giving the usual directions of how to redeem them and it still not working, I then asked them to send me a picture of the coin insert. After a lot of trial and error switching out lowercase characters for uppercase etc, I finally figured out that the lower case k looked like an uppercase K. After switching it out I was able to redeem the value, which I forwarded on to the coin's owner (+ a Litecoin for bringing it to my attention).

Hello all!

I just wanted to make sure that it is known that I have no association with http://www.cryptovest.com anymore. Anything they say or do (or don't say or do) should in no way be associated with the CryptoVest that mints physical cryptocurrencies.

I lost the domain after failing to renew it on time, then a domain squatter snatched it up, and they wanted me to pay $1500 to get it back. Out of moral and financial quandry, I refused to buy back the domain I had originally purchased for $10.

A new website is coming to the domain for my CryptoVest physical cryptocurrency projects: http://www.cryptovest.us/

Also, I have never had any association whatsoever with https://www.cryptovest.co.uk/

There was a book released as a physical cryptocurrency reference book that wrongly associated my physical cryptocurrency project with the .co.uk website and association.

I was the first person to use the business name CryptoVest, and all others have simply copied the name (whether knowingly or not).

Thanks,

Ch

Hey CH,

Your items have become the bragging point of my nephews, i bought a few Zinodaurs back in the day. His cohort are gen Y and none believed the physical existence of your coins and LTC in general.

I gave both of them a coin for Christmas years ago they still have.

If you are hunting some holograms maybe we can come to an arrangement i have many spares from you left over.

Can we expect some more fine coin work from you or are you just popping to clarify the whole CV domain issue?

I did notice that recently and just wondered if you were just diversifying.

By your statement above its clear that is not the case.

Good to see you are till kicking around.

Howdy,

I gave away a lot of coins for Christmas the year I minted the coin too! They make great gifts!! It is nice that physical cryptocurrencies can help introduce people to the crypto world!! Some people need to hold it in their hands and see it with their own eyes before believing or "getting it".

I personally have no need for the holograms. I do not have any, but I never intend to redeem the value on the coins either. If I want to get rid of them I will simply sell the coin with the hologram intact.

There have been several people that have contacted me for extra holograms, but since I have destroyed all of the remaining ones there was nothing I could do. I would not be surprised if you (eventually) receive a few PMs with people offering to buy them after seeing that you own some. Or, I am sure they would sell on Ebay. To be honest, I have no clue what they're worth.

Eventually I will mint some more coins, starting with a physical Bitcoin to honor my word from the Bitcoin design contest, but I am not sure when that will happen. It is not high up on my to-do list to be honest. With the way cryptocurrency values are appreciating so quickly, it is hard for me to make the investment that it requires to mint coins. I figure it will be a tough proposition to make enough from doing such to outpace what I can make by simply investing in cryptocurrencies. That's just the sad truth for this project... :\

One day though- I am determined to continue where I left off eventually.

Thanks for the message! It is good to hear from you!!!

Yeah, I am dumb... I got the warning emails that it was up for renewal, but then I just never acted on them. When I went to renew it, it was a day too late. :\

PM me if you do need some mate, more than happy to help.

I have used some of the seal / holograms to show my son and extended family how to redeem the coins.

I went through about 3 and i must say the coin cleans up quite well after removing the adhesive / seal. Makes re-using the and re-sealing the coin easy.

I also have shaky hands too and messed up a few.

I get the feeling the kids will want more coins this Christmas now that Litecoin seems to be creeping up again, but i am down to my last 6. No chance.

Ever since receiving the coins i have always kept one in my wallet for luck. It works.

As for your domain issues, cyber squatters are up there with parking officers and people who pick peanuts out of poo...i had a company in china threaten to jack my domain back in my IT admin days. we called their bluff, we had staff in China also who found the guy.

God bless the internet.  Roll Eyes Tongue
