If your question was what would be the effect on ICOs if Facebook puts a ban on cryptocurrency advertisement, then the answer is quite simply not much of an effect may be the ICOs would lose one platform for advertisement. There are many other social media's where ICOs do their advertisement through us. So that wouldn't make a whole big of an effect to the advertisements of ICOs.
Losing Facebook is big, after all Facebook is probably the biggest social media site in the entire world so they are losing at big platform for them so I think the effects are going to be a lot bigger than many think, this is not going to stop icos, but it is going to slow them down a little bit and when we take into account that the market is kind of slow and the know your customer policy issues then you are talking about a lot of investments lost for the icos.

I think the effect is only minimal. When it was freshly implemented a lot overreacted, I presume that because Facebook is a really
big social media platform. It isn't something you can ignore, considering the fact that the massive amount of users and publicity
it harbors is incomparable. But with the number of other effective social media platforms out there, ICO's can still advertised and
get on with or without facebook's assistance. Things will get on and progress. Too bad since facebook campaigns are good sources
of income with bounties and campaigns.

facebook campaigns isnt really worth it at all because they only pay a little or less due to the fact that the allocated reward for this bounty is only a small percentage, unlike to sig campaign and other forms of bounty such as translation , blogging , etc. They usually pays higher. anyways , we shoudnt get worry about it because there are still many social media out there like twitter and youtube that we can use inorder to promote a campaign  for advertising purposes.

Facebook have it new policy pertaining to initial coins offerings 'ICOs' . The policy specifically prohibits ads that promote ICO on it platform.
The banned is due to the fact there are so many companies who are advertising ICOs that are not currently operating in good standards and faith.
In the meantime, Facebook is encouraging people to report content that violates this new policy.
What effect do you think this will have on ICOs and future  of cryptocurrencies?

It is fine actually that they are banning ico's on facebook because it is a social media that was made for people to show their wealth profile and job's , its like show casing everything you have socially and its not about politics or advertisements so its fine if they ban ico's advertisements.

I don't really think many of the good ICOs were reliant on Facebook ads. Not at all. I think the majority of the good projects naturally develop a following. So these are probably just another of many regulations that may actually have a neutral to positive effect

its fine for you because you dont do bounty campaigns but for those who only earn bounty campaigns especially social medias, they were the one who got trully affected to this issue because they cant now do facebook campaigns due to this update.

but they can still do twitter and other social media campaigns if they wanted to and i guess the pay for other social media campaigns is also the same as the one on facebook.

Im also supporting the facebooks decsions regarding this ico ads , not because im anti ico but because those ico or other cryto ads are quite annoying most of the time because they are everywhwre, they seem to invade your screen everytime you browse facebook.

Facebook was never really the place I saw ICO adverts. I think it is too generalist there for much effect. I suspect this action is for when Cryptos become mainstream and then they can keep the frenzied posting down then! Undecided

It has nothing to do with regulations at all. It's more something that will help themselves rather than to protect their users against potential scams. It all comes down to the fact that their income is at risk.

Businesses buying ad space just don't want to advertise on a platform that shows their ads alongside crypto or other potentially scam ads. Another aspect is that Facebook tries to distance itself from potential claims.

Unilever just recently threatened to ditch the giants Facebook and Google if they don't get rid of various advertisement categories. Facebook already started, and now it's waiting for Google to show its teeth.

I think this issue is a huge deal for ICO projects and crypto currencies especially were most bounties and signature campaigns uses facebook to advertise their projects so it might affect the amount of investors of this new tokens. Im sure these companies will have an compromise to what ads should be implemented.

I think it will not affect that much bcz for crypto, twitter is more dominant in social media to share the news.and we have google ads promoting the ico so there is nothing to worry,as facebook is going to implement kyc soon as they have also bought a startup ,which will lead to decrease to its user.maybe they implement blockchain to their network to increase their users base.

It does not affect all ICO on facebook. Those who violated the policy are affected. People are just hyping that facebook is banning all ICO but in real, I still see many advertisement associated with ICO.

This is not a big problem to those who are legit, because they can always find a way to solve any negative effects to their project but not to the scammers. Because scammers has limited influence and social media is their best opportunity to scam people.

I think we just need to accept that, and just only use telegram, twitter or Instagram to promote ICO's. That is the only thing I can see to be the best thing to do right now. Unless Facebook will accept's ICO's again.

Same as people facebook should not generalize all ICOs as there are some ICOs that are paying only few arr.scamms or not paying at all. They should properly investigate each ICOs and not banning them right away.

Facebook is a free source for business and earning anyways, if they bann all ICOs then there will be less and less people using facebook as I've noticed most group pages in facebook are all about bitcoins or cryptocurrency itself. And I believe these serious ICOs are paying facebook to be able to advertise their tokens. So yeah, they can earn on it as well.

As for facebook users like me it helps me earn additional income for my child. In fact my call center salary for a month, I can earn it here for days or weeks only so.

i cant see anything that affect a huge scar on bitcoin industry since there are lot of platform to showcase that ICO therefore the ICO will find a new way to reach people thru social media , twitter are still existing and also youtube are there  but has not used by many so they can used youtube as an alternative to facebook..
With all the shit coins we have all over the place, and scammers running away with crowdfunds, I wouldn't blame a company like FB. If I were Mark Zukerberg I will do the same to protect the reputation of my business. However, with good regulations of ICO's in the future, FB will eventually open back her door's to crypto ADs.
But I think the effect isn't noticeable.

I have the feeling that this is just the beginning, Facebook is the biggest social media website around so it is obvious it was targeted at first because of its influence and this move does not seem like something Facebook would do this is something they did probably because they were pressured to do it and if it worked with Facebook it will probably work with other social media websites.

Losing Facebook is not big, but Facebook losing the revenue they are generating from those ICO adverts is the one that is big. Trust me bro, they have been getting a lot, and it is just because they would want to at least consider the community and the users since they cannot really get to screen the spammers, then that just had to happen.

It seems before anything and as long as it pertains to ICOs now, you will need to get a legit verified document to be able to do anything and that is good enough for the community.

Perhaps facebook's ban on encrypting ads is intended to avoid the loss of some fake ads to users!

Facebook executives have revealed that they will open the ico's ads in the future, but there are requirements for the ads, as well as for the project!

I don’t really know the kind of effect it’s going to have on Bitcoin, but I think it will reduce the progress it’s having, because Facebook is one of the best social media where promoters can be able to reach thousands with just an ordinary post and be able to reach more by placing ads and paying for it to be promoted.
