Why not put a usb on the back-plane? I was excited to hear there was a usb port on the boards and bummed to find out there isn't.
That is totally stupid. This is a standalone unit. Why would anyone be stupid and wish it to be not a stand alone unit? Sucks to change configurations on 5+ blades maybe. why are you so opposed? |

Why is it better to configure each one individually? Why not USB? Not really standalone when it still needs another system to run the stratum proxy or internal getwork server... |

god, the public, ya blame him? He sold items with the terms that future upgrades would be included. He is still yet to honour that promise, while putting new money customers first. Also very dissapointing. |

You have obviously never worked in an enterprise environment or managed a medium to large farm. USB would allow users to manage everything through a single interface and use a single client like CGMINER making all the blades act like 1 cohesive unit. That way if any changes need to be made you only have to do it in 1 place rather than 5,10,20,100 etc. It is far more efficient. |

I found this at Orvacs.com it is called a Horizontal Female Depluggable Terminal, the part number is 13-2604 and can be referenced in the Philmore catalog. |

When you save your new settings for the blade, close that browser window(or tab) and then open a new browser window (or tab) to 192.168.1.254:8000. Noe if you are using it one a get work pool it will be busy and be very slow reloading like on coinex. When you use Bfgminer 2.3.1 you have a --http-port-8332 setting or mining proxy from slush that will smooth out the performance of your blade and let it hash more efficiently.

If you short out the reset pins, it should go back to 192.168.1.254:8000 . |

i wonder how efficient server PSU's are, i doubt data centers really care about how much electricity they use
This is *all* datacenters care about. Power is king. That said, server PSUs generally are 80%+, and are also much better constructed in general |
