Hi There, I am very new to btc and the more I read about it the more excited I get about it as both an investment opportunity and as a hobby. My immediate problem is my hardware, namely that I have none that would be worth a damn when it comes to mining. I dont know if this is feasible or not, but I am looking to invest somewhere in the neighborhood of $500-700 in order to create a serviceable mining rig. My biggest constraints are: price (obviously), power consumption, and ease of use. As far as hardware and software goes I consider myself inept but motivated.

I am sure this question has been asked before, but if anyone would be so kind as to offer me their opinion or point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged.

Buy a blade miner for 4btc. It requires some aptitude but there are usage instructions on this forum if you are motivated.
