I just hope your statement will be read by a lot of bitcoin holders that is having a great panic since the price goes lower than $9K. They are like dogs who barks at someone they do not know but be gentle and playful once their owner comes in.

Steady the boat, stand your ground boys because this one has no clothes on and was saying "Buy on the dip"
when BTC was at $18,550 and will be saying just the same as he says above when it goes below seven.

The term your looking for is a foolish dog who barks at a flying bird (Bob Marley 1974)

I like the way you say "follow the market", but I would like to stay within the rules. For numbers, I think it's time to dump btc if it hits $6,000-$8,000 range. That would be my cut loss. I've read once, a principle of a trader should know is that DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR INVESTMENT. Hold it if it does good, be ready to leave it if otherwise.

ya, like it or not as you say. hold it when does good and leave when worried. but, In here, all happening unpredictably, right?
Because, If people are aware and know how to predict their coins, we should be happy because we are not worried now.

I think now is the time to buy more. Everyone is panicking and afraid. As a real investor, we should take the opportunity to buy and wait for it to show off in 2018.
The right thing to do now is to take risk at buying bitcoin because the price is really promising. It gives lot of opportunity. Let's just hope that it will recover from this big dump in the market for us to gain profit and not lose what we invest on it. As a trader we have to keep calm and just watch and analyze the market. When you are feel bad about the happening find other things to do and focus on it. Do not check the market every second it will not recover that past from the dump. It will take more time. Just sit back and wait patiently to the time that will worth your investment.

I understand why new guys are in panic, but what the heck is going with the old players.
My friend repeats the same mistake over and over again. He don't get it if you sell when it's low then you lose the money.

Buying now means going against the market. We must wait, and look for confirmation that the bloody friday is over. If you really want to start buying, do it with small amounts, never more than 5% of the total amount you would invest and spend some time, not less than 8-10 hours, between one purchase and another.

Newbie just starting with this game, we wanted to purchase litecoins just before christmas, when it was at $70, it was a Friday and we had no knowledge and no ID to get verified, by the Monday the price had risen to $240. Missed the boat, finally managed to get on board last week, as is my initial investment is now 40% down. However I can now afford to invest in coins that only last week was out of reach.

I will invest 200% more this week as the old saying goes " When their is blood on the streets, invest in property" yes coins are not property but the sentiment is still the same.

Warren Buffet said ""The best thing that happens to us is when a great company gets into temporary trouble . . . We want to buy them when they're on the operating table."

 Be selectively contrarian.
This is closely related to the prior point. Sometimes it's best not to merely ignore the crowd, but to see which way they're going and explore whether it's worth going the other way. Buffett often buys when the lemmings are selling, and vice versa. It's hard to buy what's popular and do well; speculation is most dangerous when it looks easiest, and as Buffett says, the market pays a high price for a cheery consensus. He recommends being fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.

My portafolio is currently down 44% and decreasing. I entered the cryptomarket a couple of months ago due to all the hype and media attention. Not the best moment arguably.

What is essential is to go in with what you can afford to loose so as to have peace of mind. It's not that one doesn´t frown at the current situation, but until you turn your investment back into FIAT you are only at a virtual loss. My idea is to hold for sure and try to invest a little more (although explaining why is not easily understood by those around you).

Essentialy it all comes down to whether you believe it will recover or never recover. The former vouches for a hold; the latter to sell and cut losses and never comeback.

Believe is composed by feeling + reading to gain knowledge.

Nothing is guaranteed. There's always going to be chances to make money from crypto in the short term with day trading etc as, but for long-term hodlers there's no guarantees we'll ever see anywhere near the all time high again (or could take a very long time to recover). I think it was mostly driven by FOMO from newbies getting involved thinking they couldn't lose and this crash will have scared a lot of the general public away from investing again. There will be a hell of a lot of newcomers that got burned by buying in at the top and now they're probably just taking out their loses right now which obviously has a knock on effect and long lasting smear on cypto which could linger for quite some time.

If you are a trader, a real trader, you  will make your fortune when the market goes down and others sell! Short all & buy at discount. The sales time is starting

i would wait a little longer though.
right now the market is pretty much unpredictable. many say it will fall more and we will have a long bear market but at the same time many others say it is the dip for the next leg up to reach a new ATH.

i say i am a BitcoinHodler, i am going to HODL for the time being and when things became clearer then i start making decisions about what to do with my extra cash.

I think the wait-and-forget wait now is the best option and waiting for the crypto-currency market to change is not that big when it's time for us to start rejoining, and blockchain is a very important technology for the future so I believe bitcoin .

It is not possible to keep calm as more countries take invasive actions against cryptos. If more countries will follow china and india bitcoin will collapse. So we must go on the streets and protest.

In such cases hold your bitcon in your hand and buy more bitcoins at a discount. Do not panic , the increasing and decreasing in the market are always.

What happened is, most people want to make sure they don't lose their money, hence they sell, and get their investment back, that's why we see price is going down. And no not all people are traders, most people try to hold mid term, however they also go with the flow. Well lets hope it bounce back.

Yes that is true! Also I am a trader now a days I buy many Bitcoin. Let your Bitcoin grow in your wallet don't sell it immediately, just let the Bitcoin in your wallet and find other ways to earn Bitcoin. Now I'm in a signature campaign also a social media campaign focus your extra time earning Bitcoin while waiting for the perfect timing to sell it when the price is higher than the time you bought it my suggestion is don't sell it unless it doubles the in value. Timing is everything.

We all believe in ATH) however, I'm more interested in seeing the deepest low we can see...I'm not bad at TA and trade a lot, but I really don't understand, how to see the "real low" Sad sometimes I guess, but is there any method to be sure?

I think now is the time to challenge everyone's mental qualities, to see who has no patience, to see who is not calm enough, even though there are a lot of people who say do not panic, now is a good time to buy, but when you see bitcoin prices more than once there are still people who are scared and hesitant when it falls so much that I will not be watching bitcoin for some time and I will find something else to divert my attention so that I can invest more calmly in bitcoin . Some investors will not get the right sense of investing at this time of great dip, they are rather crying for lose forgotten it is the right time to buy and hold and wait for the price shoot.

Its hard to keep calm while we know that the price on the market now are going down and our money is actually lose, it is really hard especially to those people who are new in crypto. But if you really don't want to lose your money just ignore the red mark and just wait until bitcoin will recover.
