There are more and more gambling site providing "provably fair" games.
If there is no house edge, how do these sites make profit?? Undecided

This question bothering me for quite a while...
Does anyone know the detail?

Provably fair does not mean there is no house edge.
And I know only 1 website without house edge, and I asked the same question.

Here is the answer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=280487.0

Ads give almost nothing. Just enough to pay for hosting.

"Provably fair" doesn't mean that there's no house edge, it just means that it's possible for the public to verify that the results really are random.

provably fair means that you can prove they don't cheat the results through cryptography. usually in a casino you cannot know if a slot machine is rigged or not, but provably fair makes it obvious.

Every big online casino has an edge however I did see one site that literally flips a coin. Do I trust it's 50/50, ummm no!

The best way to say thank you:

I think its pretty cool how bitcoins have undermined so many laws that governments made.
where i live there is no way i could gamble online. thanks to bitcoins now its virtually impossible for the government to stop me.
credit cards and bank wires all could be stopped. good luck with them trying to block virtual currency Tongue
But sooner or later the government will figure out a way to regulate all of this.
untill then gimme them aces!
