all very nice, the “small problem” is that was premined 2 months in advance lol
Wasn't premined because the lead dev announced it to his group of friends. You can see that the GoonSquad began mining as soon as it was announced on the obscure 4chan, of all places. I'm looking forward to CCP's next article about GoonSquad stealing millions of USD through their elaborate crypto ruse. The value of this coin can be clearly seen through there lack of whitepaper and vision. Meme coins are the it thing though right? Reason be damned, all in on the sinking ship! Can it hit 1 Sat today?

2nd* exchange. TradeOgre has had us listed. We owe them much appreciation and recognition.
TradeOgre is orders of magnitude better than TradeSatoshi. Fast, clean, uncluttered, good charting and reporting. It's a shame that a lot of the volume has moved to TradeSatoshi - I'm sure it will move back once it's apparent how much better TradeOgre is.

Mined at auspool for several hours, got nothing. Is this normal? As user I put the TRTL address and password "x". Really strange. Did you notice the same or do you get regular payments?

Check your balance on the pool website and go the 'payments' tab there so what the payout threshold is. If your pool balance is zero check your configuration, make sure you are using the correct public wallet address to mine against.

Let's get TurtleCoin on some decent exchanges, maybe the devs could approach Binance to get it included in there vote for coin of the month, then we could all vote for it and , hopefully, get it listed on Binance.

Too much coin supply, value will be shit
Although our total supply is 1 Trillion TRTL, each TRTL is only divisible to 2 decimal places. In terms of atomic units, we actually have significantly less total supply than Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, IOTA... TRTL — 100,000,000,000,000 Shells BTC ~ 2,100,000,000,000,000 Satoshis IOTA — 2,779,530,283,277,761 IOTA LTC — 8,400,000,000,000,000 Photons ETH — 97,879,990,190,000,000,000,000,000 Wei Read more about the TurtleCoin supply and the motivations behind the 2 decimal places here: https://medium.com/@turtlecoin/one-trillion-turtles-coin-supply-and-unit-economics-5bfbea0aa1f1

If your error was because of lib_boost, try the static build ( TurtleCoin-v0.3.1-linux-staticboost-CLI.tar.gz) at https://github.com/turtlecoin/turtlecoin/releases. It statically includes lib_boost so the file is larger but is a workaround for that issue. Sorry for any inconvenience!! We're getting a continuous build server setup that will automate our build process, and should help us mitigate these issues moving forward - cowabunga!

They see that many zeroes before the decimal and they think the supply is more. So unfortunately this coin is screwed, you can see it right now. Daily 26 million coins are mined and sold. To much supply, similar to when there was to much beef during Reagans presidency. They had to push cows in lakes to keep the market from crashing. A basic college economics class would have pointed out this problem before it happened. Although it is too late for this coin, throwing them away won't save it. The market has already crashed and with any first impression, this coin now has a bad one. However as the lead dev said, he isn't good with math. So he wouldn't have seen this coming. Then there is the problem with him being a developer but bad at math. Aren't algorithms a computational proof? Computers are all about computation, mathematics. He is the lead dev and doesn't like math? lol Is this coin actually just a troll coin? or an MIT social economic experiment on the overabundance of supply vs demand?

However as the lead dev said, he isn't good with math.
Politely, I think you were unable to see through the characterization and light hearted tone in the article. We like to be relatable. As the article states, our belief is people are more turned off/confuzzled/dismayed by many digits to the RIGHT of the decimal. People like big numbers. Having 20 million satoshi sounds a lot nicer than 0.5 BTC, for instance. Can't tell you how many people have said "Yeah, I want to invest in bitcoin, but it's too late. I'll never be able to buy one." Laypeople don't like a lot of decimal places. Savvy informed cryptonerds should be able to understand the concept of atomic units. TurtleCoin is all about community and making cryptocurrency accessible for more people and we feel 1 trillion @ 2 decimals accomplishes that. Arguing about supply after pointing out that it is actually lower is moot so I won't go further. People seem to enjoy mining, transacting and raining many turtle a day.
