TikTok Bans Crypto Ads❗️

The popular video sharing platform TikTok announced on Friday that certain types of advertisement, such as crypto ads, will no longer be allowed on their platform. The new guidelines will specifically prohibit users from posting promotional content about financial products, regardless of the user’s geographic location. ❌🌏

In 2020, TikTok grew in popularity among crypto enthusiasts when it became a hotbed for the Dogecoin hype. Users were able to share their knowledge and experiences, which were already prohibited on other social platforms such as Facebook or Google.

For example - they have implemented friendlier legislation and allow investors to buy, sell, or hold digital assets with no tax liability. ☝️

For example Portugal 🇵🇹: The Portuguese law doesn’t consider cryptocurrency trading as a generator of capital gain which is why it’s exempt from taxation!

Did Amazon’s Cryptocurrency plans cause the sudden Bitcoin price surge? 🤔📈

The Bitcoin price soared this morning to approach $40,000 after Amazon advertised a job vacancy for a digital currency lead, stirring speculation that it might accept cryptocurrencies for transactions at the end of 2021. 😯

AMC Theatres Will Accept Bitcoin As Payment For Movie Tickets 🎫🎥

AMC’s CEO, Adam Aron, just announced during an earnings call on Monday that the movie theatre chain will have the IT systems in place to implement Bitcoin as a payment method by the end of 2021! 💥

AMC Entertainment Holdings is the largest movie theater chain in the world. 🌎 It was founded in 1920 and also has the largest share of the U.S. theater market ahead of Regal and Cinemark Theatres.
