Let ICO holders automatically send coins to your Ethereum wallet just after receiving your Ethereum
Just like, betrium.co is doing.
KYC is really useless for crypto currency traders.
If you want to prevent ICO scams, you should first check the ICO's information, check the community and do not click ICO advertised on google. Agree with you, but why do not click advertising? Companies very often use advertise for ICO, product and etc. This is normal practice for me.

It is necessary to filter the Ico, make a threshold for entering the market for them, or create some kind of stress tests that they themselves are eliminated. In general it will not be easy, but otherwise we will continue to get into their networks and lose our hard earned.

The Chinese broke this chip and decided to stop the uncontrolled outflow of capital by banning the ICO. But it did not really help them.

I think we can help stop scam ico by spreading the word and letting everyone knows that this certain ico is a scam. Spreading the word helps potential investors to rethink or not investing at all to these certain ico's. Always be cautious when planning to invest on any ico, always do background checks.

I think we cannot stop ICO from doing scam. People just need to be vigilance. Do a research and ask for advice to others before jumping into ICOs.
Why no? There is a clear procedure like Escrow, you know. It provide more secure participation in ICO and Bounty. But we should choose an Escrow agent with high trust.

Stopping ICO scam is almost impossible because no ICO will indicate from the beginning that it's project is a scam until after they've gotten what they wanted from people and disappear in the thin air. I think that since it cannot be stopped, it can be managed to some extent by the boards of this forum, they should be able to meet up to some level of standards with conditions before accepting them.

It would be difficult to stop ICO fraud, especially crypto-it the free world. Almost it seems that the law doesn't exist here and to risk depends on you. It is also difficult to define ICO fraud if management is good in it. It is better to consider the project or, at least, to make some researches if their news or updates are right.

Technology is just a tool which can be manipulated if the people behind the ICO are scammers. I do not think there is a easy way to stop scamming ICO until all the people become honest which will not happen. The best thing we can do is trying to avoid the scams by doing your researching.

Yes, it is necessary to develop new methods of fighting fraudsters, current methods work very poorly. It remains to rely only on yourself and do a detailed analysis of projects.

This does not solve anything, for example: you get a token that's useless because the team left the project, it's the same as when you receibe nothing.

I think this is not a good solutions because you can have the ICO coin in your ETH wallet but if this coin has no value because the project reveals a scam you have nothing...

Off course there is no way around this one just because of one thing and thats decentralisation. Neither there is control of any regulatory body over this one nor any initiatives are there. So whats happening is simple but bitter one, ICO's are being made, they are collecting the funds and KYC along with it but they are using it for their own purpose and just to show up that how they are being legit one. As long as there forms no regulator for these kind of projects we are not going to see decrease in the scam rates at all. The tricks like sending of tokens pre-loaded and stuff doesnt really work mate, its far to complicated than we think.

That is going to be hard for ICOs to adopt and I am sure anyway not all of them even if they are good ones are going to accept and do this thing. I would like to be this way because everyone will receive their coins instantly but people will always find ways to scam people doesn't matter what they have to do. Even if they send coins to buyers instantly after paying they can cancel the launching of their coin on the market so coins price remain 0

Its not possible to completely eliminate "scam" from ICO market, millions have been lost in various ICO scam. We need to do proper research before investing into any ICO. Many people fell in ICO scam trap after visiting the catchy website and a 2 min short movie explaining the ICO. Not many pay attention to whitepaer, founders, roadmaps and most importantly is there any version of product already launched, these are just small steps that can be save you from an ICO scam.

As if you can control the people behind of the ICO to scam others or be honest. There are no easy way to stop ICO scam, only by research thoroughly you will lessen the chance of investing to a scam ICO. I've read a nice guideline on how to avoid being scam by ICO check this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2822896.0It's a good reference for us both bounty hunters and investors to avoid or even minimize the ICO scams. I've checked the link and I found some interesting and important things to always note. I also do some of those ways in choosing the right ICOs, but not all of the information I have known. SO, it is very helpful for us. I also know that avoiding the ICO scams or additionally stopping ICO scams are very difficult. They are smart and they are systematic. therefore, we can just try to minimize or avoid the ICOs that are probably detected as scams.

Fraudsters will never stop until they get anything from the scam, there is no specific way to stop the scam, but the only way to prevent fraud is to study the project.

Scam nowadays are famous there's a lot of ICO's are coming. I think we cannot stop scam ico's immediately but we can avoid it. Before joining the project do your research, deep research if the project is legit and avoid also suspicious ICO's.

To reduce the risk of scam, you should always be careful, before investing into the ICO. And you always need to do thorough research and check ICO's team.
