There is a good side to this downturn in the markets. Time to snap up some bargains. I'm not even thinking about the big money coins but the better low money coins like DeepOnion, Stellar, Cardano just to name a few.

▬▬▬▬   (✔) DeepVault Blockchain Notary •  SegWit Wallet Released  •  deeponion.org   ▬▬▬▬
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Is always good time to buy bitcoin. Catching bitcoin on a lower price is awesome, but if you’re willing to hold it then you will make money in a long term!

Look, there is no best time.  Bitcoin always has been a gamble.

Although, in some ways, it appears to have reached a point where it is in the clear, there really are only new challenges that will arise in the face of is continued success.

Yes I would agree, if you have strong confidence then go for it. There is a lot of bad news at the moment with crypto and I am hoping the bad headlines will soon stop.

I can still remember last year in February, people were complaining that the price was too stable at $1015. Wow, how things changed since then. A year later and people are angry because the price is stable between $8000 and $9000. ^lol^

If we start this year at $8000 and the same thing happens this year, then we might see a $26 000 bitcoin price at the end of this year. < Take note, I highlighted the word, "might" for a reason, because nothing is guaranteed in this game. >

Bitcoin is still a high risk investment, with the potential for large profits. ^smile^

Remember, that buying cryptocurrencies is never late. Especially the small altcoins, because they are just getting started, they are on their way of growing and becoming decent cryptocurrencies. Just do some research on the coins you want to invest in, so that you know more about their specific characteristic and features, and also you know that they are legit coins and you are not getting scammed.  Wink

Good luck!

I would suggest to buy in small amounts, as this dip is likely to go in a bit more ...

However, I also saw some people selling their already loss making coins and with that money - buying more!

Say you got 100 coins, which after selling out - its value goes down further, which makes it possible to buy 105+ of the same coin with the same amount!

So for those who are already invested deep - can use this method ... but then if the price suddenly starts to rise, it can be a risk!

thanks,
Uttoran Sen

Fair enough. To not complicate things too much I would just say, that the prices are quite good for LTC, XRP, XMR and ETH (and others as well) for buying some and storing, because I am expecting a rapid increase in the upcoming days (may take even weeks, but that's ok). So, I agree, this is a good time to buy some alts. Thus, who are in this, just go ahead and do it!  Wink

Lol, McAfee. He's known for being overly bullish, and for having personal investments in Bitcoin. I don't disagree with him, but no one should be taking his word as gospel. He's doing what he does for his own benefit and could use his followers toward that end.

Regarding the graph, you could see he cut it off around mid-January to make it look similar to the previous two. If the graph had continued, it would have showed more drastic drop offs. Translation? It's intentionally misleading.

If I had merit, you would of received it.  Couldn't of said it better myself.  Much like all social media outlet nowadays, they are so skewed and bias its hard to take anything serious.

Mcafee was born a rich kid, and will continue to feed himself with whatever makes him the most profit.  We saw it with his exlander project, and it continuing today with crypto

I saw those posts on /r/bitcoin that exemplifies my thoughts on the recent Bitcoin crash.

Quote
There is not enough money pouring into bitcoin right now.

- New people (who don't really understand bitcoin) are getting burnt hard, so they'll say 'Ah, so it is a bubble' and they will sell.
- Hodlers already have their money BTC, so they can't drive the price up.
- Institutional players know a bear market when they see one, so they are not touching this thing with a 10 ft. pole until it shows some clear signs of recovery.

To drive the price up, there needs to be more demand than supply and quite frankly, it's not here right now. Even the most bullish people are turning bearish right now and are selling off. Not because they don't believe in bitcoin anymore, but they can get more bitcoin if they sell now and buy when they (think) it bottoms.

This is a bear market. You don't get 70% slow correction and not call it a bear market. The last (real) bear market took 3 years to recover. I don't think it will take that long this time around, but I'm finding a year really plausible.

Quote
Remember, it only took less than a month to get from $6k to $20k. So it's not surprising it can go down from $20k to $6k in a month and a half.

Why would that surprise anyone actually? It took longer to decline than it did to rise. So that's something.

I'll bet the next cycle to $20k will take a lot longer. Maybe a year or more.

If I had merit, you would of received it.  Couldn't of said it better myself.  Much like all social media outlet nowadays, they are so skewed and bias its hard to take anything serious.
I gave him one for you Cool

I believe McAfee would even have supported Bitconnect if he had been paid enough.

It's definitely a good time to accumulate your favorite coins/tokens. The thing to remember is that we all do not know exactly where the bottom is, but you can do some basic technical analysis on BTC and get a decent idea.

By the end of the year, I'm sure all of the solid coins will be much higher in value than the current levels.

You have mentioned that you can do some basic technical analysis on BTC to get a feeling of where the bottom is. Could you share some insights or provide let's say a starting point to begin with. I'm new when it comes to bitcoins and it's obviously the time to buy now. But I have not even a feeling of where the bottom is, which makes it hard to say when to start my BTC Journey.

Many thanks for any advice!

I agree that now is a good time to buy many crypto-currencies. With such a deep correction and market potential, there are great opportunities to increase your capital.
