looks pretty clear, dag file size might be too large for the gpu. I mean what did you expect you are using 3gb gpus

3gb gpus are starting to fail with cuda error 11. depending on brand and how much mem is stacked off the bat.

The day has come.  Grin
You will need a 1060 6gb from now on, the 3gb on the other hand you can use for Zcash.

Try a larger virtual memory. I was having that problem on my 1050ti's and increased the size and it seems to have helped so far. I do however see it pop back up after about a day though.

The 1050 ti has 4 gb of memory. And he stated that he allready had looked into the Virtual memory.
I wonder if it realy is done now for the 1060 3gb, I do Zcash, so I still could use them if the have a nice price Wink

I'm setting virtual memory size minimum at 16000mb and maximum at 25000mb and it still not working. How much VMS you are setting at? I used to set it up to 40000mb and it still error like this. So sad

I should consider upgarde them to 6gb version is the last option then.

I think mining ETH is only 4 gb cards or higher now.

CUDA error - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG. Check readme.txt for possible solutions.
Setting DAG epoch #177
but isn't sure because of Dag file ETH currently 2.3 GB maybe the real data more from 2.3 or approaching 3 GB. and GPU memory, not enough for save dag file. because GPU needs to load it before start mining.

if indeed this happens because 3GB Memory is not due to other problems. certainly sadly. If you want still 1060 3 GB, jump mining to Equihash algorithm such Zcash.

Wow. The Big Thank's for the corrections.

But do you know the meaning of this sentence:

mining ETH with 3Gb is still possible and will still be possible for a while but you should not mine multiple coins at the same time, it will affect the hash rate of all coins. 6Gb cards are more suited for this.

13 GPU Nvidia Rig running under Ubuntu 16 (eth hash rate: 300+Mh/s @ 1000W for whole rig): 3x EVGA GTX 1060 3Gb (24MH/s @ 65W) + 6x MSI Armor GTX 1060 3Gb (24MH/s @ 70W) + 1x MSI GTX 1060 (24Mh/s @ 65W) + 3x Zotac GTX 1060 (24MH/s @ 65 W). PSU 2400W, Asrock ASRock H110 Pro BTC+, cheap Chinese risers, Kingston SSD 120Gb, 8Gb memory. Selling some of my GPUs (around 200€, still under warranty), if you're interested, contact me in private.

-eres 0 fixed this problem for me while mining ETC.  I have not tried it yet with ETH.   I will prob. be moving to ETH soon as I have been toggling back and forth.    No idea why it is not working for some.     I have 12x 3gb Gigabyte OC cards (the cheapest 2 fan versions) on this rig

Also the same here. 3GB 1060s can not start ETC, ETH fine. Once - eres solved, then no result, only error message.
One interesting thing, maybe a Windows techie can figure out something (I guess ir is Windows issue).
I run mixed rig of 3x1050s (4GB) and 3x1060s (3GB). I set up EBWF for ZEC for the 1050s only and Claymore for ETH for the 1060s only, on the same rig. If I start Claymore for the 1060s, it creates DAGs and starts mining, then I start EBWF, 1050s start ZEC and everything is good. But if I start EBWF for ZEC, then I start Claymore for 1060s,I get the same error message fir one 1060, always the same one and always for only one, Claymore dies and tries to restart, running into the same issue, loop.
