Hello Everyone!

This will not be a world news. This will not be giant game changer. This will, however be a topic close to me as I am from the Czech republic.

For those who are totally unaware, Czech republic is a small country in the middle of Europe (sometimes called the heart of Europe). But we are one of the biggest BTC miners per head!

Even with all those recent news, Czech republic stays strong in the crypto markets, believing in the blockchain. This can be easily shown by our biggest e-shop with electronic. They started to accept BTC as a mean of payment last year and it has easily become one of the most popular payment options, especially for PC components (mostly for more mining).

The most recent news is, that the e-shop will accept LTC and DASH next! Those are awesome news! Why? It shows, that even in the bloody times for the crypto markets, the crpyto currencies are still used even in the mainstream shops somewhere around the world. Even if we are just a small country, we slowly, but steadily accept crypto in our everyday lifes.

Just wanted to share this bit of information with you guys, hope someone would fin it interesting! Smiley

How popular is that shop in Czech Republic? Do you have any idea how many people buy through that shop?
I wouldn't say that it's unimportant, it's always very positive that local businesses also start accepting Bitcoin or other crypto currencies.

As soon as local shops start accepting crypto, there's going to be a more trusting attitude towards crypto from people who were skeptical at first.

It is the biggest and most used e-shop in our country. They have revenue of millions of dolalrs. I have foudn their report from 2015, when they had yearly revenue of roughly 520 millions $. They have implemented crypto currencies as a mean of payment into all of their products with BTC, LTC is already implemented and DASH is on the way. It is becomming more and more popular.

This should be the best news for me today because I do value adoption and acceptance than news of pumping and dumping. If shops are adopting bitcoin it then means bitcoin is been as currency and not securities or bonds.

This is very positive news for Czech Republic,it is dream of most crypto owners to buy goods and services direct with cryptocurrency, instead of converting crypto in fiat and lose a certain amount on fees.

It is good that they accept LTC, and DASH will be accepted soon,so if problems with high fees happens again users have option to pay with other coin.We need more sellers/stores which will accept cryptocurrency, only in this way we will have stability and break the myths that BTC is only for bad things.

It's a good news for the traders in Czech republic.Because they can use the cryptocurrency as a direct currency without change it to FIAT.The transaction fee for the bitcoin to FIAT will be saved. They can use that bitcoin to buy additional things. This news may increase the price of bitcoin in future.

This is really very good news! I would like that not only you have a greater number of such stores, but other countries took the example.

The shop have some interesting stuff for buying with bitcoins Smiley

Do they shop cross-country (EU)? Because within EU it's just transportation, it's not import/export to another EU members.

Well, this is a good news for Czech republic people and another shop again is accepting cryptocurrencies as what i have read before that other countries are accepting cryptocurrencies for their restaurant. If every countries accept cryptocurrencies in various business they have i guess it's not that bad to have other businesses to accept too. It could be good for everyone and i want to see their reaction when price goes up or down.

That's just perfect! This would allow many in the Czech republic to purchase electronics from their online store if they don't particularly own Bitcoin, but have LTC or Dash. Litecoins have the added benefit of having lower transaction fee and quicker confirmations which would enable quicker payments and I'm hoping to expect that the very same e-shop starts accepting Bitcoin lightning payments by beginning to research on it or attempting to utilize a payment API like https://strike.acinq.co/#/ (AINCQ Strike) once it's available.

We need to see more businesses to start by atleast accepting Bitcoins even if it didn't earn them any sales during the initial periods, it's still a good place to start as even if a small crypto sale had happened, that could grow byitself.

Nice to see some good news around, it's not really major news but it just shows that crypto acceptance is still increasing. The more retailers start to accept crypto the more commonplace it will become and eventually a major online retailer or such will adopt cryptos and then there's no looking back.

Guys I just wanted to tell you how happy I am for the comments on this post! I did not expect this article to be so well accepted by you all, as i did not give it much value over all. I kinda thought that it is becoming more common for some e-shops to accept bitcoin, but you have showed me, that our country is one of very few... Smiley

Good news!

If I remember right: both Iceland and Hungary booted central bankers out of their countries after repaying their debt to banks incurred during the 2008 economic crisis. Am I right in thinking the Czech Republic falls roughly under the same category, in terms of it being politically aligned in opposition to central banks? There are interesting independence movements ongoing around the globe whereby many appear to be taking note of the influence central bankers have upon the world and are deciding to oppose their negative influence.

I wish we could do more to support this as americans.

You see, it is more about the mentality of the Czechs... We kinda like to take risks and we like to grasp opportunities by the toe. Also if there is any way of kinda avoid government, taxes, etc, Czech folks will do just that. The newer generation, understanding the technology at least a bit, will also know, that the future is digital. So you kind of have a point too, we do not like being told what to do, so we do not particularly like central banks. I would not really go into politics of Czech republic right now, as it is one giant mess Cheesy (our president is highly open-mouthed stubborn old guy and our premier is being judged)...

How much higher is the price in this store for goods purchased for crypto currency, compared to the Fiat currencies? It is clear that this is a payment for volatility risks.
