This is really great, hopefully they'll also do away with Tether as a result. There are very few exchanges that have usd/btc pairs as well as btc/alt pairs so it will be really nice to have a one stop shop. They've also opened up registrations for new users which is big and they're hiring more staff which should only improve things further. They've made some good steps from the struggles of a couple months ago.

It will bring more liquidity and volume for sure... but also strict account verification. Something I don't like, because it's against the core idea if crypto-currencies.

I don't plan to trade it.

I think it'll be a good news for new investors whom wanna buy Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency directly by their money. Before, people often had to use Coinbase or other exchange to buy Bitcoin with USD but Coinbase is only support for few countries so it's really difficult for people come from other country that don't be supported. But for now I think it'll be much easier when Bittrex launch these pairing

This was the reason USDT was created now if you want to deal with US directly exchanges will need to become even stricter with verifications, I'm not a trader so this does not affect me but it will affect a significant amount of the users in the forum, since many care about their privacy so while this move will attract new traders many old time traders will choose another exchange to trade from now on.

I believe this is one of the positive news and from what i read, TETHER Will be removed once USD is able to be deposited.
I strongly believe this is a good approach as TETHER has been skeptical in the past with the Bitfinex hack

This is definitely great news. Tether was iffy and shady so at least of USD, I have some confidence in day trading on this exchange. The market needs to freaking rebound this is a slaughter at the moment.

This is important. But not very practical. I believe that some other stable currency will eventually replace USDT. Using only USD has several legal implications that make the work of exchanges much more complicated.

Yes I also think that this is a great news. Most likely Bittrex took this step because of the bad news about Tether. I hope that this will help to change the current trend. There should be no intermediaries between crypto and fiat in the form of Tether.

Many exchanges in other countries (i.e. Korea, China, Japan, etc.) offer pairings using their local currency.
