I think all the newcomers (newbies) are now leaving the market with panic selling and that's what is keeping the downfall of course the bad news about bitcoins also helped. I'm sure bitcoin and most of crypto currencies will never crash don't forget the drug market that is running on bitcoin they will NEVER let bitcoin crash. maybe this year's downfall is more than any year because the Chinese holiday (which is normal every year) but the new thing this year is that a lot of new people joined the market who have absolutely no experience with bitcoins so they are panicking. so the Chinese and the new traders together are making a huge impact on the market , bigger than any other year. I'm a newbie as well so if I have a wrong thought or thinking in a wrong way please correct me. thanks.

You know what? I honestly think that you have read my topic chinese new year is late this year and instead of posting there you created new one because you thought it would be good idea to open it because you want some merits that's it. I don't see any other explanation and reason for new topic just 10 minutes after my thread which is pretty much the same thing I said. Correct me IF I am wrong, but how I can be wrong? My thread was new and it was on top of this page which means that you missed it because you don't read. Problem with this forum. At least you can do quick scan of new threads on first page.

FUDs are causing a lot of chaos among new traders and they are resorting to panic selling all their holdings which is the main reason for this bearish period being prolonged. Being new to the market, newbies are expected to mess up very often and this is one such point of time. maybe this year's downfall is more than any year because the Chinese holiday (which is normal every year) but the new thing this year is that a lot of new people joined the market who have absolutely no experience with bitcoins so they are panicking. so the Chinese and the new traders together are making a huge impact on the market , bigger than any other year. Most of your words were arguably true but since the future is never set in concrete, we are open to a lot of possibilities. China, having imposed bans on all foreign crypto exchanges, looks to extend further its bid to regulate crypto trade within the country. While we might never know the true motives behind the ban, the amount of panic it is causing is unreal.

I don't think so. Even those newcomers will leave the market, it's not enough that they can shake the market for about massive large dip. The one who did some big dumps are the big players and those newcomers just did some collateral percentage on the current price drop.

Sorry buddy, I didn't meant to go so hard on you. I've just read too much FUD around and I was very pissed and one similar topic light fire. There are probably bunch of topics similar to my too. Sorry again.

I dont think the newbies can affect the market very much because most of them dont even own bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies and even if they have I am sure they dont own such a big quantity to modify the market a lot.

I think that those that brought bitcoin during the height of its massive bullrun was really stunned when it suddenly crash. They go out and sold everything. Because they think that it is a get rich scheme. Which is not.
Now they are very reluctant to enter the picture again. They don't want to be burn again. And with the FUD waves coming every day. I seriously doubt that they will go and buy bitcoin any time soon. So yeah, I agree 100% with your observation.

At least that weeded out weak hands away from Bitcoin. Not only that, because of them being out of the scene, market would surely become healthier as those hyped with get rich quick lessened. If I were OP though I wouldn't generalize the newcomers leaving the market, I am sure that some has still held their btc as of date and expects btc to rise more.

Newbies have little to no influence over this market. Many of them will never go near an exchange. They buy and sell through an upper layer like Coinbase or Localbitcoins.
The price falls are down to the end of a natural cycle of irrational exuberance. Now it's back to sleep until the next whirl of the gaming wheel.

don't forget the drug market that is running on bitcoin they will NEVER let bitcoin crash.
That is a good point, and one I've made in other threads. Though I don't have hard numbers, I suspect the drug trade (and other illegal dark market stuff) accounts for a big part of the bitcoin economy--but I could be wrong. My thought is that some other coin might take over, maybe something with more anonymity. I'm actually kind of surprised that Dash or some other coin that's harder to trace hasn't been the coin of choice for ransoms and the dark market transactions. This most recent crash could just be the huge correction that a lot of people, including myself, have been expecting. We just rose too high, too fast, and this was not only expected but inevitable. And I think we'll be rebounding pretty soon. This is bitcoin traders taking their profits off the table, which happens in every market.

In my own opinion, i think experiencing a crash is normal especially to crypto currency and to the market. If they are experiencing massive increase, they may also experience downfall or crash. All we have to do is to just hold our coins and do not panic because crypto currency as well the market will go back to its track as soon as possible.

Newbies is more of a wrong term in my opinion. Empty headed idiots considering this market to be a get rich quick platform are easily being tricked into panic selling, which goes up for people having been part of this market for a longer while as well. People don't take into consideration that in current times, there is no such a thing anymore as becoming rich with Bitcoin. You either invest a large sum of your own capital, to potentially make a decent bit of money, or you just invest a few hundred bucks and walk away with another few hundred bucks in profits afterwards. Especially the latter group, which represents the majority of the market in number, will never be able to become rich or even relatively wealthy, and thus should not chase this target, but they are too stupid to realize that.

I don't think the Chinese New Year has much impact on the BTC market!
Because in September 2017, the Chinese government's supervision of BTC caused many people to stay away from digital currency!
There are few people in China doing digital currency trading, and more miners!
The miners will not rest for the New Year.

I will not blame you, I also think like you, and I'm also sure if later after the Chinese holiday is over and good news news comes up again, the land price of cryptocurrency money will get back to normal, I believe it.

I do not think that new comers have affected the price of bitcoin, if there are people leaving there are always new joining as well. For the Bitcoin and the drug market this is just a conspiracy theory. There is no proof that they are using Bitcoin or any other coins. Big holidays also affect the market because a lot of people will cash out their profit.

I agree with most of your views. This year a large number of new entrants have entered the cryptocurrency market. When there was bad news about bitcoin, they panicked and sold their bitcoins. But I don't think they have a particular impact, and new people don't have too many bitcoins. No one knows if bitcoin will collapse, and it is not good news for bitcoin that many countries now ban bitcoins from trading 。

It's all very influential with the price decline, especially the Lunar New Year and bad news news released by a country that does not like bitcoin, but I'm sure later after the good news and after the Chinese New Year the price of bitcoin will go better and the price goes up .
