The Standard Fee for general admission is $2,590. Not much left for hookers and gambling after paying that fee. I will be in Las Vegas the week of 6-10 but I can think of a few better uses for $2,600 while I'm there.  Wink

Wow. The bitcoin conf in may was $300.

Definitely overpriced in my view.  Shocked

Edit: I must say 400+ speakers is impressive. Not sure that in 5 days as opposed to 3 days the price is justified.

(shrug).

The Standard Fee for general admission is $2,590.

Well, if USD decrease in value a modest 2% per year due to inflation, after 2025 these 2590 USD are worth less than 2000 USD are now. Wink

About the (seemingly endless) Ripple debate - what do you honestly expect? To have the CEO of OpenCoin start to cry and sob and shout "I should have released the source code long ago, I am such a bad bad person!"? I haven't seen the Q&A session you were talking about, so I can't judge whether he was just wiggling out of some questions or if questions were just things that people just didn't get (like Ripple != XRP, you'll likely need XRP worth less than one of your wire fees from MtGox ever in your lifetime).

You're one of those glass-half-full kind of guys, aren't you? lol
At first I thought: "$2,000!!! That's insane." Then I thought: "Well, it's a five day thing aimed at financial industry people, they're supposed to be able to afford it."
This is how I know I'm a small fish. I can't afford it Tongue (I will be at the Ripple Developer conference on the 10th)

It's not so much that we're small fish as it is that we aren't in business and don't need to spend the money. For most of these guys it's a business tax write off and they need to be there to promote themselves. I'll end up doing the same thing I did at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco (I'll find a way to crash the gate and go in for a few minutes or stand outside with a Bitcoin t-shirt until someone approaches me and strikes up a conversation). I'm staying at the Wynn so it shouldn't be difficult. lol

Maybe I'll try that  Grin
Thanks for the tip, I owe you a drink if we meet up down there.

And ripple is just about to go open source on Sept 26, so this should be some good content at the conference.

Hi,

I am still waiting for my funds to be returned by Tradehill / Jered Kenna from the first time Tradehill closed its business. About 6 months ago I sent an email to Tradehill, Jered responded, confirmed my account balance and requested a BTC address so he could send the funds. He said he would send out the funds but never did. I have sent multiple gentle 'reminder' emails to both his address and the info address but have never received a response.

Has anyone heard from him or received funds recently?

Thanks
