I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

Reading the whitepaper of the ICO extremely helps btw. So if you really want to look for an ICO that will most likely be successful, look for a very plausible and feasible whitepaper or even the ones you're interested with. Common successful ICOs are really based on the people's liking.

Some say this is the year of ICOs but I think ICOs are always the best choice if you analyze them carefully. Most investors are just following what others do without any research and study. It leads them to scams and they blame legit ICOs as well.
