Police can't do much in this ..the only thing you can do is to hire a professional ethical hacker and let him do his work..
Well a friend of mine told me about something that happened with him..he asked someone of his group to you know try and recover his funds and he was able to get back Everything and his I'd pass and everything too ... Gave him a fair warning and let it be.

So everything is in the title.
What can you do when you have been scammed ? what are your possibilities to recover your funds, I mean here in the community, excepting going and report to the police.

Well, doing an online transaction especially using bitcoin, we don't have any power to bring back what is loose, because as we all know, our identity here is anonymous. the only thing we can do is accept our faith. If it happens here in the forum, we can report them to the admin and put a red tag on them, but that's the only thing we can do, about recovering your fund, you can only do work on a campaign for you to slowly recover from what you lost.

But what if the person who scammed you was not feom this forum?  Maybe we just have to yes, accept our fate.  Acceptance would make it easy for us to understand things.  Just go on with your life and try to work harder and focus on earning again and do double time.  Just focus and forget it and let it be a lesson.

I think we got no choice we have nothing left to do we won't be able to retrieved our lost money specially here in crypto. I know it is really hard to move on but we have to accept the fact and move forward. Anyway, if we're lucky enough we can be able to get it back if we participate again in some good projects just make sure to make an extraordinary precautions nextime not to be a victim of scammed again.

Speak from my experience, nothing that we can do. I got scammed one time when I tried to sell Bitcoin for Skrill, Bitcoin is irreversible and Skrill is reversible if the scammers use fraud or stolen cards. Anyway it's a lesson learnt

If you got scammed it was your own mistake and you should pay for it. Or at least that is what I think.

If we speak about scam where you have lost your money, as far as i know there is low chances for your founds to be returned. To avoid losing you money, when you do trading go through a trusted source (third party) to do trading for you. Check out Lauda. She is a trusted member of this forum and have done this kind of jobs before. There are others too, and it should not be hard for you to find them.

If we speak about scam where you have lost your account here on forum. In that case best thing you can do is contact support and report scam. Same thing apply to other sites i guess.

My advice to all people out there is to stay away from shady people and sites. Visit only legitimate sites and do business only with people that you trust, if not apply what i said about trading.
This forum have good system, where people get Trust (positive or negative) for things they have done, which minimize possibility of scamming.

EDIT: Here you can find list of members that provides escrow services https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
not much can be done if you are a victim of the irresponsible person, it's just that you need to be careful in following the trading because too many scammers in this internet world. I myself was very careful in saving money in my wallet because it is very unfortunate if I to lose the funds I have painstakingly earned,

Just to point out the very obvious reason of why you can't do things when getting scammed when using cryptocurrencies is that the transaction is "irreversible". No organisation or governance that could cancel the transaction because all is decentralised.
Basically end of discussion. However if you still can track them down and then find out where they live, still a slight of chance you can sue them and filling a lawsuit.

The possibilities to recover your fund is almost Zero and this is undoubtedly Crypto's one of the biggest flaw.Sometimes you can't even realize how you have been scammed.Once it is done it is done,You can complain to the exchange or to the authorities but that will only help in creating awareness and that's it.The biggest positive you can get from this is a trading lesson.

Depends on the amount involved. If the amount is like $2,000 or $3,000, then my opinion is that you should forget about it and move forward. On the other hand, if you had lost your life savings, then definitely you should try to recover your losses.

One saying that is most applicable in Crypto-Trading is Precaution is better that cure as there is no cure in this.Once you are scammed,it's gone. You can't retrieve what you have lost neither you can lodge any complaints as it is very difficult trace them.If you get scammed don't get into depression or make any fail efforts because it is just a waste of time. One thing that you can do is to take it as a lesson and be more careful  afterwards.

It is hard to do something in the internet if you don't know the person who spam of you. A lot of spams happened in the last few years but only a little of them been catched.
The first thing you should do is inform other fellow crypto people about the scam, give as much info as you can. Next learn from it, since bitcoin is decentralized there is no central body that's responsible for this incidents.

Next time you do transactions with anyone make sure you do research wether it's an ICO or  an individual trader.

Cryptocurrencies are based on decentralized blockchain technology. You can not do anything if a transaction is already completed and approved by miners. There is noone who can control the transactions. There is no possibility to take your funds back.
You cannot not be scammed in a way that no one can scam nay of the crypto currency and cannot access your wallet until and unless you yourself provides him with the private key. However, if there comes a situation when you feel like you are scammed, then you can do nothing else than hoping for the minimum possible loss to suffer. You need to make yourself a learned man to avoid such kind of mishaps.
