There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.

I read whitepapers from some ICOs to do the survey so I know the ICOs are good or not. Because I think every ICOs must be seen from its whitepaper so we know.

I have read many whitepapers but any this document appeared as useful for me. The main flaw is absence of specifics. There were a few numbers. No real roadmap, no sources ways of getting money.

White papers are the most direct way to learn about a project directly. If you are a careful person you can see a lot of information in the white paper

Tbh only when I'm sure that i like project and want to know more. Otherwise website is enough to know most of details, but if you plan to invest in anything then there is two things to do everytime. First you need to check team if it's real team or not. And last you have to read whitepaper to know more.

I do not read it thoroughly , but just have a look on it.
It gives the general idea about the project. This will help you to decide whether to invest in that ICO or not.

If you are really true investor you will read every detail of project whitepaper why? Because this is important you will find in whitepaper the project goal/roadmap because of this you can decide if the project are legit or have a real product.
Always remember that theres a lot of project that became scam in the end so its better to research the project background before investing to their project.

If a certain project interests me, I certainly do read detail by detail their whitepaper. Since I am an investor also, I hold tokens/coins that I believe will grow as years go by, I read their whitepaper so that I can understand fully their project and will make me convinced that this project is worth my investment.

Yes I read whitepaper even though there are too many. Read the whitepaper, it can be useful in determining a good ICO. If you really want to get a decent profit, if you want your investment to be worth it, you should read the whitepaper to get a clear understanding of their project, its purpose and many more. You should also consider the roadmap, and the website. On their website, you can see a detailed  information of their project.

Reading the white paper is necessary because you can get a lot of useful information from it.
The white paper has a lot of planning for the project, so you can tell if the project is promising.

In fact, I'm too lazy to read completely white paper since it takes too much time and does not guarantee protection from the scam. I think it's enough to read OnePage.

I only invest in coins with decently written whitepapers, the crappy ones are easy to filter out and from the good ones i learn a lot! win-win

Well, of course I do: if I put my money somewhere, I want to have at least an idea about what they want to do with them.
Of course they can't lie, but at least reading the whitepaper you can detect the most obvious scams. Smiley Smiley

For me, I always do thorough reading of a white paper before deciding whether or not to invest. It is actually one of the most important factor to evaluate the potential of an altcoin. But I can easily spot a decent white paper while not necessarily reading them all.
