We must learn to not pay attention to this kind of manipulation
Well, actually there are both kinds of news each time. It's just that when everything goes well, BTC and all the cryptos are rising people don't pay much attention to bad news. At the same time when the market is crashing there are still good news out there, but people only see the worst. But manipulation takes place too. |

Well, I take a good advantage of this movement. I have seen that after some months people do the same thing again and again, someone spread false rumors and people started to take all of the coins invested on the cryptocurrency and the market price starts to fall. At this time I wait till it starts to rise again and that's the point people should buy as much as bitcoin they can. always remember that there are a lot of people who have not send Bitcoin till now and they are not even aware of other cryptocurrencies so when they are going to join the network a price going to rise a lot invest as much as you can because after some months you are not going to get that golden chance again ever.

It's normal. There are big speculators that try to get out the most of everything. They can spam us with wonderful news, they can spam us with FUD. Some help them for money, some help them because they got fooled. How else could you imagine that all the insignificant crap said by the bankers was all-headlines and all the real good news were almost unnoticed? In November, any ETF listing came with waves of joy and new ATH. And those were not as important news as SegWit adoption, for example. All this show make the newbies lose money, either by selling low, either by buying high. And this dance is not over. It goes back and forth by the big whales' needs. The sad part is that BCash community has though that they'll bring Bitcoin down and make their fork "the king", but they actually helped the whales bring down Bitcoin, Bcash and all the other coins. At least for a while. Let's see how long and how big will the new wave be (and if it has really started or it's just a short-timed bounce). |

Certain group of people have the ability to manipulate the market. They set the market price. When they intend to buy price go down and when they want to sell, price will go up. Anyways they make profit. Market responds according to their will and we have memory like gold fish. Do not sell unless you need money badly. This is my personal opinion. BTC is news sensitive but prone to develop panic towards any FUD

You could have it wrong. Bad news is the reason why it falls in the first place. And good news is the reason why it rises. Now leading Australian banks say they are allowing customers to buy cryptocurrencies. USA's congress hearing was also good about Crypto's. Coinbase is finally adding Segwit support and say they have just begun the final testing phase. Singapore says they have no strong case to ban Crypto. South Korean ban may get nullified because of their supreme court. All of this was logically a positive effect to why it had a recovery today. But the recovery is still "small". Either way, if total market cap drops below 300 billion again, i'll use the chance to buy some extra coins. And if it goes up i'm happy too. |

There is nothing you can do about it,the market had a good correction and we had reached a good support level and then i guess people started buying and the market is in the recovering phase,i do expect that we will hear a bad news and the market will bleed again and it will go on for some time,until the developed countries come up with a good solution on what they are going to do about the bitcoin market,rather than speculations. |

While you are correct, i also think there is less good news when BTC rises and more bad news when BTC price falls. BTC just has so many haters and i wonder what their interest is. its just crazy. No one actually said BTC price will constantly be on the rise. So why are people whining over the price fall?

That's just human. Whenever there's bad news, everyone is negative. When there's good news, everyone gets ecstatic. But just stay focused and be happy the price drop has come to a hold. Let's just hope the price will increase, the market was already boosted today after the American authorities hearing on cryptocurrencies, with $83 billion in just hours.

Not only the Internet, but also the whole mainstream media - and actually I guess it is them to start it all. Which leads me to the question if it comes before the egg or the chicken, in other words who is causing what? My guess is that its is a big manipulation of the market done by the way of mainstream media. |

Just like in a movie, there are good guys as well as bad guys. So when news about bitcoin's price going down, all sorts of bad news, bad events, bad forecasts, bad comments abound all over the place. There will always be people who thought bad about bitcoin for various motives only they themselves know. But when bitcoin is going up, some will shut up their mouths, some remain hardheaded, and some still have some bad words to say no matter what. However, most people still believe that bitcoin's price will increase as time goes by.
No worry whenever the bitcoin goes down as it's a perfect time to buy. Bitcoin going up, well it's nice to sell some of these as there will be some profit in one way or another. In either scenario, it's a win-win case for a smart investor. Just speaking based on experience.

Partially this is true but there are so many investors in the market who don`t even know what is btc and they just have invested because their neighbor or their friend has earned money, so they are so vulnerable to be manipulated by FUD in my opinion.

It is going up slowly, but the price keep rising as expected. I was sure that BTC price will rise again after the last decreasing, despite all the negativity and fake stories which popped up in many social media platforms about Bitcoin recently. Bitcoin is very strong and it will be more profitable in the nearest future.

Certainly BTC value would soar once again.Yesterday US Senate hearing was very supportive for BTC,Bread wallet u Switzerland based exchange started international BTC purchase through Credit cards,FUD news in South Korea are becoming ineffective.All of these thing would push BTC price to go upward.Many potential investor who heard these FUD,BTC regularization news,stopped to invest in BTC as a result of which price is going down,disappointed investor selling BTC.Today coinmarkecap showed some green signal and investors confidence is restored.Rumors would soon be stopped and BTC would once again touch above $20000.I am bullish on BTC would rise very soon.
Yes I agree on this matter, bitcoin now was really a great way to the future on our finances. Somehow we should be able to prevent those rumors to affect us to be panic. That $20k will be a bigger potential this year and the latest news were positive now, but don't be too confident because there were many groups of investors who still spreads fuds against bitcoin despite of the recovering price. Hopefully the good news appearing will help people to have confidence so that they can hold their bitcoins until such time it reached the peak of the price in the marketplace. |

there was no big bad news when now price has fallen just it wasn't much effect on price with futures becouse futures are not BTC directly traded so we see what we see |

In economy there is a saying for the 'buying power' as we called it for this ecosystem 'the whales'. they are setting the rules for playing even the game is playing. Everything can change if they loose the control power. This is not easy in this ecosystem but again it is the same story, the manipulation, if you have a big share you got the power for control the fluctuations direction.
