Actually he doesn't need any merits to be able to reach the Jr. Member rank. Anyway, at OP you need to have 30+ activity points to reach a Jr. Member level. Every two weeks you'll get 14 activity points assuming your actively posting.

BTW, your on the wrong sub-forum. You must be posting this thread to Beginners Help sub-forum.

There has been a change in ratings. to rank up. You need to have enough merit in each respective category. So rising ratings are now very difficult

How many post do I have to post for me to upgraded Jr member
Below is the table of the new merit requirements so in able for someone to rank up it is compose of activity + merit.

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:

RankRequired activityRequired merit
Brand new00
Newbie10
Jr Member300
Member6010
Full Member120100
Sr. Member240250
Hero Member480500
LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000

how do I get merit or is it by merit to get upgraded?
Yes you need merit to upgrade because it's the new requirement to rank up and you can get merit having valuable post here in the forum. If you think that your post deserved to get merit you can look for people who are willing to give merit on services section.

but how to increase the merit to move to a new rank? I can not understand, there was not such a thing here, I must move on, and I can not! where to earn it? you can advise me! Huh
Read what I've said above. ^.....^......^

As what others say, just continue posting until to rank up. Jr. Member is the firs stop. The only concern now it the merit program. because you really have to post constructively in order to gain this and it is also bitcointalk user can give you this.

Read post from theymos,  maybe can help u.

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:

RankRequired activityRequired merit
Brand new00
Newbie10
Jr Member300
Member6010
Full Member120100
Sr. Member240250
Hero Member480500
LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000

You get merit points when someone sends you some for one of your posts. Additionally, when someone sends you merit points, half of those points can be sent by you to other people.

Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention.

There is currently no such thing as a "demerit". I'm hoping that the positive merits alone will be fine. I could add demerits pretty easily later on if necessary, though.

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Do not beg for merit excessively.

Useful infographics

Forum users have helpfully created some infographics to explain the merit system:
paxmao's infographic
ibminer's infographic
8Habits's infographic
JetSet11's infographic
zentdex's infographic
alia_armelle's infographic

If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.
 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months by other people that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread. The point of this is to demonstrate your ability to give out merit usefully.
 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.

I am especially eager to have merit sources in sub-communities such as the local sections.

Trivia:

For current members, your initial merit score is equal to the minimum required to your rank. Of that, a certain amount (less than the usual half) is spendable. The spendable amount was calculated based on your current rank and the number of activity points you earned in the last year. A Legendary member who hasn't posted in the last year would still be Legendary, but would not have any spendable merit.

If someone sends you 1 merit, the 0.5 sMerit is not wasted; it is just not shown until you get another merit point.

There are stats here, and you can find someone's merit summary by clicking the "merit" link on their profile.

Is there any limit to give out merits for an individual? As a newbie can I still get merits or I need to be at least member to be eligible?

Due to changes in forum ranking sysytem, both the activities and merits are now compulsory to rank uo from current possition. I urge you not to mind merits until you acquire sufficient activity points,  keep posting and once you have sufficient activity points for next rank, then you can point out some of your quality posts and collect them to a specific thread where you may be given merits

It's required 30 Activity to be upgraded Jr.Member mate . Merit is given by other members whom thank for your post/contributing  . It's easy to be upgraded to Jr.Member , but from the above Member Rank isn't easy .

Yes, there is a limit to giving merit PER post. I believe you can only give a maximum amount of 50 merit point per post. Any rank can receive merit even newbie like you, getting one is easy if you're doing quality post and helping others with constructive and informative replies assuming a "merit source" notices you.

Nonsense.  You only need 10 constructive posts to be a member.  What is so hard about that?

It depends on both your activities and your merit scores for each rank you target to. From Brand-new to Newbie, and Newbie to Junior member, you need only activity counts. However, from Junior member to Member and next ranks, you need both activities and merit points.
I give you link to read if you interested. This topic created by admin mentioned about merit system.

You want to post to the upgrade and get the merit. I think to do this you have to learn the rules to get the bitcoin merit. You should write your post regularly and regularly every day. The content is right and good.

If you are still a newbie You should post at least 1 activity in 1 day and If you have posted 30 activities already you will become automatically a Jr. Member. But don't Spam or else you will be banned. Just post a good and a right Idea but please be careful always review your post before posting.
