After the hearing, the United States recognized the existence of bitcoin, recognized its value, and only increased its oversight of the virtual currency.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

More and more money is flowing into the cryptocurrency, more and more people are learning about it. It is unprofitable for the SEC to prohibit the cryptocurrency, they just want to regulate it and control money laundering.

The USA has already gone beyond that point. They acknowledged Bitcoin as a commodity and people are paying their taxes based on that. As long as people are paying their taxes on Bitcoin, they will not mess with it. The SEC has also come around to being more Bitcoin friendly lately, so I would not be amazed if we might see a approval of some Bitcoin ETF's soon.

The latest angle for applications seems to be focussed on using only local exchanges for price determination, so external factors are less of a concern to them. I hope the Winklevoss twins will re-apply for a Bitcoin ETF, because they deserve it the most. <They can use Gemini as the preferred source for price determination>  Grin

I don't see any reason in banning of cryptocurrenciy in USA. This is a free country and the people can do anything. They just wanted to regulate properly and look into Money Laundering Schemes. And many of the investors are in USA.

They had a sort of briefing yesterday related to cryptocurrencies. Their point was that today's generation is more interested in cryptocurrencies than in stock market. All through the briefing they pointed out that cryptocurrencies are here to stay and government should work on regulating them so no one plays a Ponzi scam scheme.

Every country are starting to ban. What if USA ban? how will it go?

I am not seeing a little hint about bitcoin being banned by such country's most likely USA. It is great that we or this countries are being given their people a freewill to stand on there own or do anything for themselves since there is no such reason to do this thing. There is no person being harmed or any sector.

yes I agree, I do not know for what OP asked this, or maybe he wants to create a panic back. this will not work because there is currently no indication that lead to the ban.

If the president of the country knew that the country will benefit from the bitcoin or altcoin, he will peruse the cryptocurrency. As long as, many people will benefit from the said crypto. The USA is the strong country may ban bitcoin in the future but i will not lose hope that the country will affect the bitcoin fully it is very good for us to make some of the arrangements for this currency and we should also buy some of the altcoins because if the USA try to ban one currency then may the price fall with this so we should make plan B for it.

The demand in many countries is different, but the United States has a very developed economy, so I think they will not ban Bitcoin, other countries may have their crisis, so it is impossible to allow Bitcoin to work. In the state, the foundation for having Bitcoin is complicated

According to statistics, the dollar traded bitcoin accounted for a large portion, of which US accounted for a large amount of investment in bitcoin trading. Next to Korea, the Won won the second place in the bitcoin trade. If America continues to ban bitcoin, perhaps bitcoin will be wiped.

You exaggerate, not every country prohibits Bitcoin. Especially in the USA, even a hint of it was not.

I don't think so. The seemingly positive result of the senate hearing for cryptocurrencies with the sec actually rallied btc to bounce back. That means that unlike china, there's a good chance that with a few regulations to address issues with security, btc will be accepted with open arms

It currently doesn't seem like anything short of a cataclysmic mass terrorism event revolving around Bitcoin will cause the USA to ban it. They recently had a hearing where some regulatory heads were optimistic with the technology, and would rather see where it could go.

Theoretically speaking, it's going to suck pretty hard if they ban, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

You probably have not heard the hearing.
It was neither positive, nor negative, they decided that they have to accept it's existence and need to look into it for proper regulations

That's right. There wasn't any real direction taken except good old " wait and see". The US has had its eyes on Bitcoin for a very long time. I recall as early as 2011 one of the early devs received supposedly an invitation to meet with their intelligence.

The advocates will point to an unwillingness to call for outright bans and a willingness to study it more as tantamount to recognition. But the critics will say that avoiding a stance now when it's had years to study it simply means that Bitcoin has failed to convince of its benefits.

I take this as slightly positive developments and don't believe a complete ban can ever materialise. Limitations and restrictions, yes. Regulations, absolutely. Can't see the US passing off new revenue.

I think, America does not want to ban the circulation of bitcoin in the country. because their government views bitcoin from the positive side. but they may ban bits of bitcoin if many bitcoin users commit crimes such as terrorism financing.

After the hearing, the United States perceived the presence of bitcoin, perceived its esteem, and just expanded its oversight of the virtual cash.

So, in the United States from January 1, introduced taxes on the exchange of bitcoins. I think that the US will just work on bitcoins. And from imposing more stringent control on the market of crypto-currency from the world regulators - it can be.

Of course it's always possible but what I think is much more likely to happen, and there's a degree of us needing it, is that it will become regulated in countries like USA. That doesnt mean it has to be bad, regulation would stop a lot of scam projects. The money in crypto is too vast for the governments to turn a blind eye or ban, they'll want their cut of that money too, regulation helps them with this.

I don't think a liberal democracy like the United States would ban digital money!

Wall Street's financial dealings have had a big impact around the world, and soon digital money may be on Wall Street.

So I think the United States has a welcoming attitude toward digital encryption.

I think they will not do that to bitcoin as they are into cryptocurrencies, soon the U.S.A. will have a law with bitcoin about regulating tax with it.
Also with other cryptos, the U.S. is a country with technology and they love adopting a new one and banning bitcoin will not help their economy.
