People making different coins is good, people making the same coin with a different name is bad. We want different coins, it makes more choice and helps innovation K.

Innovation is not a search and replace "Litecoin"->"Shitcoin", changing a couple of things like block targets, and posting an ANN thread here.

No, we will never stop because: 1. Multiple currencies is a good for market 2. Some coins will survive, most will die almost immediately anyway. Strongest will become more expensive. So, what did you prefer: almost real forex-like market with multiple currencies, or ponzi SCAM scheme with one market (e.g. mtGox), one currency which is fully controlled by oligarch?

So every miner has nearly no cost in premining these coins. After a while they can be sold for good money to people that have lost the overview. So many of the new coins can be compared with penny stocks. The last one will loose it all.

Yes, there are too much coins without any specific purpose (apart from pump and dump), but I think this is something like evolution. So, we will see which coins will be able to survive and evolve.

Beware ! Thanks for the link Why would you beware of us fixing the code? The original design of the coin was to produce 100 million coins. After assuming development responsibilities, we found a bug in the code was causing "unlimited coin generation" and lowered the block reward to return the coin to it's original design. We didn't think the World needed another infinite coin. What does your coin do that others don't? Or is it just another copy/paste attempt to cash-in? K.

We didn't think the World wanted (or needed) another infinite coin. That's not the point What worries people is that new comers will earn 10 times less GLD with the same hashpower It also means that early adopters are fucking loaded That's not bad nor good, it's just something people need to know before investing in GLD

I think hyoshi and Bitshire Hashaway have also been instrumental in this effort. i for one commend them on their efforts to resurrect GLD whose original developer took the entire GLD community for a ride, pumping and dumping repeatedly on the heads of his loyal followers before leaving everyone with the bag finally. MG and Friends have invested so much in GLD, they deserve whatever profit they make in the long run. Yes they have tons of the coins, but its pretty clear they were in it for the long run. MG could have sold his coins for 10x what he paid for them at this point, and hasn't done so yet. they really believe in this coin and aren't in it for pumping and dumping.
