I am not sure. The clerics will go to any extent to force their views on others. And in the Muslim world, being gay is a mortal taboo. If a cleric states that anyone without a beard will be considered as a gay, then all the men will be forced to have beard.

I've heard this a lot of times in our country because most men work here in Muslim counties. They say that if you would work in Muslim countries you should grow out your beard or else Muslim men would rape you. I really think that most Muslim men are secretly gay, because of you are a straight men, raping another guy would not come up to your mind.

Absolutely spot on. Men are men and women are women. If a female puts on facial hair, that will not make her a male. On the other hand, if the men shaves off their beards, it will not make them women (no matter how much make-up they apply). If someone is still unable to differentiate, then they need psychiatric help.

   What he said may be reasonable behaviour in islamic states such as Afghanistan, ISIS or Iran where state law bases on islamic religion. But Turkey seems to be religious free state. Wikipedia says: "Turkey is a secular state with no official state religion; the Turkish Constitution provides for freedom of religion and conscience".
   So it is shame to blame beardless mans in Turkey. Look at his face, he looks guilty, he realizes his idea is out of place
