Have you any other reasons then 'they must be expensive' only? Yes, it's milestone with smartcontracts is a good. But anything more? Today Waves reputation closely link with many scam  or poor ICOs. And team must make something great for own rep pump. I hold some Waves but don't wait huge profit

Yeah, it's really cool, because smart contracts will bring new benefits to the Waves ecosystem: 1. Smart accounts will allow for multisignature wallets, which cannot be controlled by one user only. This will be useful for token sales, since funds can be held safely during deployment.
2. Waves smart contracts do not use gas for non-Turing complete smart contracts which means that fixed costs are always known upfront.
3. Decentralized applications (DApps) which are based on Turing-complete smart contracts will be able to complete complicated processes on the Waves blockchain, meeting a wide range of different criteria.

Holding on to Waves, BTC , ETH as well in XRP and mostly in all top coins at this time since there are many speculations that I want to believe in that by December the market will soar high. Waves having a useful platform too can have a huge increase by then.

The developers are quiet and not really big on marketing, but that's a cool sign for me, in a sense. I do wish they would give more attention to some of their active tokens that are actually seeing use, and help promote them. But maybe it's just the bear market for everyone. Platform keeps getting faster and better, so when all these dapps start coming online, we'll be ready.

keep holding are good choice, waves are including good and strong altcoins to grow in the future because in the worst conditions the price is quite stable even though it has decreased slightly and it is natural, I just hope the waves will rise to the moon by the end of this year.

As for me, my only indications to sell or either to hold is the current market situation because I will always never sell my token at lose, if I need to hold a long time just waiting for a good profit then why not? panic selling is not my behaviour in crypto world.
