Hey, guys. Share experiences. How do you assess the importance of news about cryptocurrency, their strength? Sometimes the news seems strong, but they not affect to chart.

news like listing on popular exchange, partnership with another company, masternode implementation, coin burn or popular fork generally increases the value of coin. i.e. before the event, and they'll lose a bit after achieving that feat.

Not all the news will affect the charts even when seems strong enough to lead the traders especially when talking about trusted projects with good rates (defined by the vision of the project and the team behind it and parteners and many other facts) when in the other side, some rumors may disturb the whole market and even kill some coins; remember the last wave of Mcafee tweets and how it upset charts for many coins. The community in trade is totally leaded by psychology so every news has it's power even when it doesn't make big changes in prices or trades volumes. We used to observ this with the prices of traditional money in the stock exchange.

I honestly do not like news lately. If we look and read carefully, the bad news is purposely made to add to the chaotic world of crypto and I'm sure there are great powers who want to control and monopolize the market.

Now I just like to read the news directly sourced from the developer of his project that I usually get in their site.

News such as the refusal of a country to legalize the use of crypto can be a bad thing, so often altcoin traders respond by opening a sell order. On the other hand, positive news such as the growing number of wholesalers like Amazon that receive Bitcoin, can be greeted with the purchase of crypto in large quantities by traders. And The main thing that affects graphics is usually q1, q2 etc. really proven.

I don't see news as valid information nowadays, if i want to inform my self about some information like running projects or incoming projects i prefer to get inform from the actual sources like the developer or their official channels, eventough i still read the news but with reverse psychology perspective, that means i do exactly opposite what the news told me how to. So basically i just don't care what the issues out there i just hold for the long run. Put trust on the project.

I often read and listen the news  about cryptos and the like but I don’t mind them, they have nothing to do about it anyway. I would prefer reading the forum because I don’t want to me misinformed the fake news and chaos outside bitcoin.

Hey, guys. Share experiences. How do you assess the importance of news about cryptocurrency, their strength? Sometimes the news seems strong, but they not affect to chart.

I think not only in the context of bitcoin, but generally a big factor in really qualifying the news is its credibility. The first thing that wee need is to identify the source and see how much trust could we give about what they published or if it's just crap. Like for example i seldom read bitcoin news that was posted on fb except if i gauge that it was really from an investor or they seemed to be really experienced in handling the  crypto. About the content, i do cross referencing. I believe that each member of this community can post a "NEWS" about bitcoin based on actualy data that we see. That's why "reviews" could be more valid that a single news. As far as i see, most news contain what's already happening instead of what might happen which is essential for us in investing or probably the potential of a coin to rise.

Even publications in trusted sources are paid for. But you should keep in mind that publicity generated by any kind of such publication will spur the interest and rate. That works for established cryptocurrencies, I believe, but things are a bit different for ICOs.

News is a source of information that we must be careful, although the truth is not necessarily proven but at least the news can add information and square off before it happens.

Most likely whenever the news is on a national scale or which Includes prominent people or group and even a system then that is the time when I think it may really seem to affect the market but yet again there are a lot of factors that affects the cryptocurrency market and its volatile nature render us to almost unable to predict its next value each moment so I am reducing my anxiety in just staying firm and holding possibly all throughout the year waiting for the right time to sell.

I find these news has very important role on where would the market go in the future, fundamentals are more dominant in the cryptocurrency community because it can cause the market to fail or it might be the reason why people are starting to buy more bitcoins, while technical analysis only works for me in short trades because the market has more volatility than the stocks and forex, that is why long term investment wouldnt be an ideal option in cryptocurrency market.

Honestly it can be hard to evaluate the crypto news inf you are sure that for example the Indian crypto ban won't harm the market that much. This is more about the evaluating the possible amount of FUD that may be caused by this news. But on the first place always comes some kind of technical news. If any bug or exploit was found  in any coin, service, or exchange and big amount of money was leaked this is obvious that in some time everything is going to be dumped together with the price.

Recently, news is probably of decisive importance. As soon as there is bad news, the rate of one or another crypto currency immediately begins to move down, so I do not even know what to say, the news has a very strong impact on the price of the crypto currency

They are actually very important. Think about it, they directly affect its value. If the news is bad all start selling, if good, then buy. It is very important for us. After all, we are trying to make money

In my personal experience, I assume that extremely negative news regarding a cryptocurrency from a reputable news source is likely to tank the price somewhat. For example, any headlines mentioning hacking of a large website and theft of a significant number of coins, bans or negative regulations in a large country such as China, USA, Germany etc. Or even large investment firms or popular individuals expressing negative opinions about cryptos might have a detrimental effect on its value. However, good news such as a new corporation accepting crypto, or relaxation of taxation etc will usually lead to a price improvement.

Overall, the source and how prevalent the news is determines the extent of its effect. You generally don't need to worry about what the small fish say, unless the big fish are saying it too.

Fundamentals are more dominant because only few people are using technical analysis to trade and most of the people in the market is trading blindly and most of them are into fundamentals, more people are using fundamentals that is why these news has a lot of impact to the market, one good news and the market could rise, one negative news of FUD could destroy the whole marketcap.
