Hi there. Is there really a need for us to compare and make these platforms compete with each other? Aren't they suppose to co-exist with each other to provide us a much better option for our investment and payment platforms? While I appreciate, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Dash and others, I personally believe they were not created to disrupt Bitcoin. They are there to strengthen the advantage of cryptocurrencies against the traditional fiat.

One of the best Altcoin to invest right now is maybe WAVES. It haves huge potential like thereum, and maybe it can overtake ethereum someday. And i also trust in all the privacy coins like deeponion, spectrecoin, verge and enigma. Those coins are all totally anonymous. You can even use them in Countrys where gouverment banned cryptocurrencies. In 2018 more country will ban them or regulate, so with those anonymous coins you can bypass this censorship!

For me Ethereum is the best altcoin. I will go as far as to say that Ethereum might even dethrone Bitcoin in coming years. So many good projects are being built on ETH blockchain; which will bring positive changes for not only the crypto community but also for the people outside of crypto world. NEO , ether , Cardano , Eos , Nem these are my favourite coins now . I will hold these coins never sell for next few years . Neo is attracting more chinese investors where ethereum already proven , Cardano is secure blockchain , Nem also attracting new projects .

best altcoin? I will answer in terms of profit for myself, the altcoin that gives the most profit to me is Minexcoin, this coin price increase 10x from the initial price.

I can say that the best alternative currency is the ethereum since most of the coins are tradeable to ethereum. And a lot campaign are paying in ethereum which make the trade and exchange in etherum busy which is good in exchange.

I have some alts that they are not very famous as they deserve to be like: Sysocin- I think this coin deserve more attention, other one is POLL- good project with good team but with low price.
