I came to crypto in December / January and now Im 50 % down with my portfolio, but still HODL all!

i just hold ethereum and bitcoin but currently i have a little stock of bkx coin. I hold the coins in some time and then I will sell when the price is high. so hold is a good decision right now.

Why you  didn't sell Ripple? NEO was great than Ripple especially right now Chinese new year is coming and POT has a big new this coming June so it's good to take profits when it pumped.

Blockchain is the future. Projects like ETH, NEO, WAN, ZIL, POA are just few projects with a bright future. In order to exchange those tokens you need an exchange. For sure few exchange will have a great future, but for sure all decentralized exchanges will thrive in 2018.
