Fancy at job working at GCHQ (UK Government Communications Headquarters)?

Their “Can You Find It” competition launched today, features a string of 143 characters broken into 28 sets of five and one final set of three. Once cracked, the code provides a trail of clues that will lead participants on a “cyber treasure-hunt” to the final answer – and a possible job at the facility in Cheltenham, UK.

What? So it's basically like those stupid 'contests' where you do work for free and then only the possibility of a job? I can't believe even the government is pulling that kind of bullshit now.

lol, it does sound scammy. I gota say though. Such contests are how codebreakers are found. The CIA and many others do it also. Codebreaking is a special field in espionage. You can't make codebreakers you must go out and find them.

The answers were on twitter a couple hours after they stated that their top mathematicians made sure it would be very hard to crack. Grin
