Once cracked, the code provides a trail of clues that will lead participants on a “cyber treasure-hunt” to the final answer – and a possible job at the facility in Cheltenham, UK.

lol, it does sound scammy. I gota say though. Such contests are how codebreakers are found. The CIA and many others do it also. Codebreaking is a special field in espionage. You can't make codebreakers you must go out and find them.
