He can't login; he's effectively been banned form this forum: He only logged in using Tor, and logins via Tor are no longer allowed.
If you see my post then this isn't true. I just logged in directly through Tor and I'm about to hit Post.

Sorry for the confusion. It seems it's not a blanket ban on Tor, just that some IPs of Tor exit nodes are banned.

Did anyone already invent a theory that Satoshi is a timetraveller from future, who decided to bring us a future technology? So that mankind on earth progresses better and gets to a new level of development.

Yeah maybe he came back and opened a bitcoin savings account with his first block and is now living the high life in the year 3000

How do you get all of your text to move backwords so your username ihsotaS looks like Satoshi?

Read "The Starfish & The Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations"  (you can also watch a presentation @ Google by the author, the current president of ICANN Rod Beckstrom)
If you want to understand why Satoshi did the right thing in "inventing Bitcoins, helping develop them a little bit, and then disappearing never to be seen again"

And frankly this is the way it has to be, if he had stayed the project would have failed.

Agreed. Satoshi was created as a fake god.

Please don't take it the wrong way. Bitcoin has always just been an experiment and I am currently working on perfecting the idea for another similar project. I can't release any details about this because of the amount of money people have already invested in the current Bitcoin network.

cool story bro
Now you've got me curious. Is the above quote from Satoshi? And if so, where did he post this? Google only shows this thread if I search for a sub-string within that quote.

We should have a poll!

Gavin would probably win and now that I think of it, the Gavin-is-Satoshi-theory was never conclusively disproved... Wink

Bumping an old thread.   I think that Satoshi still communicates with Gavin via PGP messages & tormail.  I guess he justed asked Gavin to do him a solid and be the face of Bitcoin.   Some how I think he is still working and guiding the project.

I really do hope that someday we find out who he is,  Maybe when he dies there will be a PGP signed message from him released, proving he done it.

Gavin has stated that this is not the case, and I would take it at face value. Makes for a good story though.

I pinky-swear on a stack of bibles I haven't heard a peep from Satoshi.

Whatever he/she/they have been busy doing, I guess he/she/they're still busy doing it. Or maybe doobadoo is Satoshi and is trying to misdirect us....

How often do you get the chance to work on a potentially world-changing project?

This is just great! Thanks to Satoshi texting you (hence not hearing a peep) to pen this post, we'll all be doing the pinky swear handshake at the next expo, conference, meetup, etc.

Satoshi isn't *just* Gavin, it's Gavin, Magical Tux, nanotube, and Jason Biggs.
