Wow this is one good idea, I'm happy if bitcoin will contribute to the church. But if you can, people who donate bitcoin must donate to all places of religious worship in this world. Because we as human beings must respect each other's religions and maybe if bitcoin does all that its popularity will increase, because usually good will be repaid better.

Yes it's a good revolution that for charity purpose bitcoin uses in this method of payment it's simple and without any negative use, the check and balance for accounts would be clear as i listen here that many merchants are for payments dealings in bitcoin.

It is not really bad if your main goal is to help the church, to renovate or support them financial. But the main question is; are the churches willing to be helped by cryptocurrency?? Because, as I have talked to some religious individuals and believers, they visualizes as bitcoin as a tool for demons to enter churches and cause chaos and sins. Because they believe that bitcoin is one of the tools that will be used when engaging in the 'New World Order' wherein there will be one nation, one religion, and one currency.
