The revenue shares now value mcxnow to 60000 BTC, bubbles are fun!

I gotta give Realsolid credit where it is due. He's doing an excellent job at rapidly building a huge supply of BTC on his exchange mcxNOW which by all rights, is a kick ass site. Really it is. I can't believe I'm going to admit this also, but Solidcoin 2, for what it was, was also another innovative idea in it's own rite and I really was looking forward to Microcash. It was only abrasiveness of the developer I had issue with.

With that being said,

Has anyone ever stopped to realize that this person is a literal ghost? Realsolid is a Ninja at covering his tracks. An absolute Ninja that has laid several dead ends. Now before all of the flame replies start, inquiring about exactly who owns mcxNOW is not an out of the line question when depositing BTC there.

When his unhackable C++ exchange gets hacked with about 50,000 BTC evaporating and this guy simply vaporizes from existence....
I'm going to raise my glass and offer a  toast "Well played Realsolid, it was two plus years in the making but well played"

I was very surprised that he gave in and added Google Authenticator.  Using GA marks your site for extra web crawling and it seemed RS wanted to avoid any extra Google attention.  So I'm genuinely curious why the change.

To improve security. As far as I know he cares more about the users then the money, at least he acts like that. I do trust him and if you don't then don't use the exchange or deposit small amounts, fairly simple.

Simple rule of security: If you can create it it CAN be broken.

Just depends on how difficulty it is to break.

I agree with you, which is the point of this thread and why anyone should be curious before depositing any money they can't afford to lose.

~BCX~

+1 Know who you are sending your money to when using an exchange. I've opted to even stop using BTC-e because of this simple fact.

I disagree.

It is called being smart. Hence why I never send funds to an exchange whom has not revealed their true identity publicly.

If you don't wonder about these things and get scammed then what? You are doing IT right? lol

YOUR WAKE UP CALL: I already disclosed my personal identity. Noah Luis (smoothie). I posted it in the OP of my thread.

So have:

Gavin Andresen
Mike Caldwell (casascius)
Roger Ver (bitcoinstore.com)
Jared Kenna (tradehill.com)
Charlies Lee (coblee)

just to name a few.

Not everybody operates as you think...ON THE INTERNET.  Cheesy

Most bitcoin exchange owners have already disclosed their personal information.

Wildly off topic but ...

A friend of mine has been financially ruined by someone who destroyed his credit rating. This was possible because his identity was known online.

Nowadays it's trivial to buy all the fake docs you need on the darkweb ( pay with BTC of course ...) and take out massive loans and even put a criminal record on someone. Scary stuff. It can take years to prove your innocence, and if you're unlucky enough to reside in the USA it will be VERY costly.

That's a pretty strong argument to keep your identity a secret.  I guess I'm naive enough to share mine though, there's 15-20 people on this forum who know exactly who I am. Lets hope none of them will ever have a grudge against me and enough of a mean streak to try and ruin me.

Well they would need to know much more than your first and last name to do damage.
