Vestacoin, aptly named after the roman goddess Vesta. A goddess that embodied family and community- So too does Vestacoin. The purpose of our coin is to empower micro communities, organizations and even families. We envision an application so easy to use- a household might use the apps to keep track of and pay out allowances. Imagine an app that could create lists, set rewards and payout based on requests and photo verification. Scale-able to any degree- school systems could implement the app to reward students based on behavior and allow payments via the app at "student stores". It begins here. How to Solo-Mine

With the source there is a built in simple-wallet and miner. You are able to do this on a linux machine, vm or container.

This wallet has been tested on UBTUNTU 16.04 with libboost-all-dev installed. If you are having issues make sure this is installed: apt-get installed libboost-all-dev

Step 1.) Download the source and enter build directory

git clone https://github.com/vesta-official/vesta
cd vesta/build/release/src

Step 2.) Run the daemon in a screen instance:

screen ./vestad

Press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + D to disconnect from the screen session. This will leave the daemon running.
Step 4.) Create a wallet:

./simplewallet
[G]enerate New Wallet
name: wallet.bin
Enter a password.

Start Mining:

start_mining

This will allow you to mine with the daemon- you can now close (ctrl+c) the simplewallet and you will continue to mine.

WINDOWS:
Until someone steps forward to claim the windows wallet you will have to resort to a linux vm. Dont worry though, this community will have one for you in no time!!

Where is the download link for the wallet? and mining just for linux only? to my view started wrong have to have for both since it has no start pool.

i did use your gen and am currently pointing my rpi2 at ur pool contributing a whopping ~8H/s

how will i be able to import this offline wallet to a windows client, once its around (hopefully soon)?

I am compiling the windows wallet right now, should be available soon. Once its done, you just need to import the keys generated from the offline wallet generator.
