Reliability is the question. I have seen siacoin decentralise storage and it failed big time so far, in my opinion.

Its not about uptime, its about reliability. Not suddenly hanging on a slow node, or progress being lost because a node or a certain miner going down etc. There’s alot of things that can go wrong. So the software needs to be quite smart in switching between miners and nodes for various tasks.
