Could bitcoin-qt devs implement a forced rescan triggered by a key inside the wallet.dat?
This would be useful when third party tools add or remove addresses from it

Encrypted wallet support, export/import keys/addresses, backup wallets, export/import CSV data from/into wallet, merge wallets, delete/import addresses and transactions, recover altcoins sent to bitcoin addresses, sign/verify messages and files with Bitcoin addresses, recover deleted wallets, etc.

It has one and has for years... including the ability to partially rescan if the lowest applicable height is known.
