I'm putting you down for 12, but please correct me if my maths is mistaken. If correct, your donation makes the current grand total 800 people fed. Thanks again, knight.

After I get my expenses and etc paid for for my hosting, I think I will donate  a btc or 2 a month to this Smiley

It'll truly be appreciated when you get around to it, bud.

And 10 it is, bringing the tally to...

[810] people fed!

I will NOT try to have this hit 1000 within 24 hours, for you guys have already done more than was even dreamt of.

BTW, Jason King didn't have a clue that I had this up my sleeve.

That is not a joke. This was a complete surprise.

I am so humbled by this community. You all are amazing. Thank you so much.

Now, this is getting outta hand! It was almost 21 hours ago that this thread started and look where it's at now. BTW, thanks, glitch, for your more than kind donation.

I'm not sure if anybody realizes it or not, but some of the donations came from other countries, namely Germany (I believe), so that people in Florida could eat.

Only 165 (X $1.25) to go to reach 1000, but who's counting?

I see what you were trying to do there, but you blew right past it. I believe you missed the 25 count added to the 810, thus only needing 165 to reach the target. I'm adding your 190 to Post #2, unless I did the maths incorrectly.

That said, you da man!

Thanks, Frank. And your 1 brings the total to...

[1,026] people fed!

And for Jason in the morning...

I just want to be on record in stating that I'm personally going to be donating a whole lot more, but at [1] at a time to act as bumps when needed as this journey continues.

Quick aside: I called about obtaining another warehouse today, and the guy was describing to me what'll be available in a few days. I said to him that it sounded like Joe's unit, whereupon he asked me if I knew Joe. Then he informed me that Joe was recently killed in an auto accident. I've supplied a many wood to Joe, and now it looks like I'm going to be leasing his old shop of which I've always wanted. Life is so odd, don't you think?

Jason, I love the work you do!
You are a big asset to Bitcoin, and you *do* make the world a better place! Thank you!

Is this here strictly for lunchbags? Or for the outpost in general? Or for both of your projects, the outpost and satoshi forest?

Also, without trying to ruin the good mood in here: Any chance to switch from Nestlé bottled water to any other brand?

I closely follow your work, Jason, and the response on reddit and here - world, you put a smile on my face! :-)

Can you post a pic of the sandwich? Is it nutritious? Does it have enough long carbs, proteins and fats? Do you use black or white bread? Do you put pastrama and/or other meats inside of the sandwich?

As we can see with Jason, the community gladly helps out good causes.
I would suggest you to start on your own or lent money, have a bit of structure and planning, document the process, and then reach out to donations. People are vary of posts which ask for money and no proof, no matter if high-interest-loans, miningequipment or charity.
Get startet, it should only take a few hundred bucks and a few weeks. If it works out, this could very well develop into a big thing, for you and for the good cause.

The contrary: I believe you will be much more successfull with a non-profit, than with a stinkin' for-profit! :-)

edit:
I just checked, Jason is registered here for a mere half year. And still, has the full trust of us, handles boggling amounts of funds, and does amazing, huge projects involving planning for decades and calculating with hundredthousands of USD!
Jason, are you actually working full-time on your projects already? The amount of organising and work you get done surely looks like it!

Yep definitely start small from your own kitchen, ask local grocery stores for food thats nearing 'use-by dates' as donations, seeing as they will be cooked up within a few days it wont go to waste. speak to the local's about donating, or getting grants.

one thing you don't want to do is to be asking for loans.

there are many ways to make funds.
community car wash
selling tickets for a community barbecue
charity auction's (sell your cooking skills to all of the single mothers for one night Cheesy)

now back on topic:
This is a great campaign happening here, once my funds are in one place ill be putting in some donations, i already see its hitting the press too, which should also help the non reddit/forum readers to contribute to it aswell.

Phinnaeus Gage: this bitcoin charity project is the best one yet, i do hope you continue idea's of this magnitude where people can clearly see the end result of their donations, as oppose to the corporate charities with paid employee's that are in existence for the last 50 years

Seans outpost(Jason): your an inspiration to us all, giving up your time to help others, with such as basic necessity. we need more guys like you around the world.

You may also find that there are a few web developers out there who may not have funds willing to donate, but may help develop your website into a bigger focal point for the world, explaining your story, how you got started and the impact it has made. (that kind of stuff).

all in all, great work guys
