Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?

It is impossible to give a definitive answer, but tougher regulations, market sentiment and market saturation will certainly play a role. Personally I don't expect ICOs to die, but rather to die down in activity. How long before that happens is anyone's guess at this stage, especially considering that we're still at the beginning of the paradigm shift enabled by blockchain technology.

Why would you wishing that altcoin will die?what is your purpose of criticizing ICO?maybe you have a problem in coin offering that why you hated it most, but for us who enjoy the good benefits of ICO ,dont make us part of your hatred because  for many people or bitcoiners who needs the services of ICO campaign, especially some of us bounty hunters,we want the coin offering will last long, until bitcoin will overcome its legacy towards global.

There are 2 options for ICO death. First, if the crypto currency will die and the second when the IPO becomes more profitable for companies, they will return to it again.

ICOs won't die, there will always be new innovations, investors will start learning to be selective and not just invest in anything, more money will still be pumped into cryptocurrencies as new investors keep coming up, the space is big enough, some coins or tokens will pave way but at the end, we will keep seeing ICOs. As long as the project is going to stay relevant, that is what is important.

Yes, ICO will not leave. But they become more smaller after the entry into force of the laws on the regulation of the Cryptocurrency. Large projects will use the ICO. The last time is Telegram ICO and ElPetro, which collected more than $ 800,000,000.

I do not think that they will die, it is impossible to develop crypto market without variety of coins. We need ICOs.

ICO will die when crypto dies. I see more projects coming. Just always do your own research and due diligence.

As long as there are people willing to invest their money into an ICO there will be ICO's.  They are going to be around for a long time.
There would always be investors, so I want to believe that projects will still get a way to be funded via ICOs. One thing though that I am beginning to notice is that people are becoming smarter and watching out for the type of ICO they want to invest in which makes it more interesting as that stylishly reduces the level of ICOs without a sound project or product and we get to see investment in those with usable products.

There isn't an exact date but consider that when the token holders know that they will not have anything because the project behind it is empty, then the market will see a nice shock. After that there will be a strong selection of ICOs  Wink

It won't die. The modernization may force it to adopt to the new world, adjust a bit and apply a fee changes and improvement, but the concept where it all started will remain. ICOs are good investments and their numbers are increasing, as well as people investing in it. As long as there are patronizers, it won't be extinct.

ICO do not die. Have you ever seen that all ideas or all the new projects disappear? No, it was always and will be. Previously, projects were looking for investment from real large investors, they advertised their ideas at major conferences. They still do it now. But ICO, this is another way to get funding, even from smaller investors.

Everything eventually dies. There is nothing eternal. ICO will not exactly die in 2018. Since the beginning of 2018, ICO has invested half of the investment in 2017. And on the street only February ends. Therefore ICO is still alive.

I think another six months or a year max and it'll all be gone.Already see a kind of decline in the popularity of ICO but I somehow do not care

In general i dont think it will be anytime soon that icos will die, there is plenty of money supporting good project, and if we find a way to eliminate scamming icos, its just going to be better and better in the ico world, and all the newbies have a good chance of actually earning decent money investing in a early phase of an ico

I believe that no less than a year ICO will exist in the current format, after which it is possible ICO will be modified. The idea itself will not disappear in the near future, so do not worry.

Like a whole bunch of people aready said, they wont die. but may evolve to adapt to market and regulations. As long as people are willing to invest (which I can see they are, although now more carefully), ICOs will be alive!
