indeed there too many ico on the market so for me i choose an ico depending the reputation that it has among the crypto community and the background of the dev team and also the idea of this project.

First of all check team) Check their social accounts, real people or not. Check advisors, check hard cap and look for other ICO with such idea. How they are doing. Great topic was just few days ago https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2941946.0

the most important thing in a good ico project is the first of course the idea of the project, then the team profile, the three roadmaps, the four media communications, and the partner

Here are some of the things to look in a good ICO: 1. Team Composition - find out everything you can about the team 2. Bitcointalk.org Thread - A good starting point is the project’s announcement (ANN) thread on BitcoinTalk.org, as Bitcointalk is the biggest forum for Bitcoin and crypto related issues. 3. Stage of the project and venture capital investments. 4. Community and Media. 5. Token distribution – when and how.

All of course is written very correctly, but I think that all the same, probably this will not be enough, for one simple reason. All these points can be questioned. Therefore, it is worth of course to focus on them, but I think that all the same it is probably worth it and trust your intuition.

A good ICO should have a good Team, Viable idea that can stand the test of time, viable social community, Total number of token to be created, and roadmap. However, its not a guarantee that all ICO's that meet the above criteria is genuine or will succeed.

There are so many ICOs that are flooding the market. Many look good on the outside, however I read so many conflicting comments for both pro and con.
So, I wanted to know what top 5 things to look for in a good ICO, so that ultimately I can decide the best ones to invest in.
Please share your thoughts and advice.
First I look at the HARD CAP and Tokens allocated to crowdsale that will fluctuate after the crowdsale. Second step - to look at the team and read about their experience and background. Than I look at advisors. Forth step is to check what is the stage of the project. Does the team have something (product, mvp, how much time was already dedicated to the project) Than I look at idea and hype (infrastructure, dap, etc. and metrics in telegram, twitter, slack). Good luck to find great projects.

To evaluate a good ICO campaign, we need to pay attention to the following factors:
1. What is the purpose of the ICO project? Is there any improvement for cryptocurrencies? 2. ICO Project Implementation Team. 3. Number of Tokens sold after Private-Sale 4. Social Channels 5. Whitepaper 6. Advisors 7. Plan for next 3 years or 5 years of ICO project

As per me
1. Use Case - If you cant trust the usage of the protocol or the technology. No-one else will
2. MVP - Minimum Product live and available to all
3. Vision: How big is the vision? Grand Cardone 10x rule says if you aim 10x you will get 1x. So if you have a grand vision, you can land someone where great.
4. Team : How sound is the Founding team, do they know about the technology? How technical they are?
5. RoadMap, whitepaper, explainer - Does everything match to their vision and Mission
Other than everything about.
Please try questioning yourself, if your motive matches with the blockchain startup?

Yeah that's the best I've seen so far. You need all of these 5 points in order for an ICO to succeed. If the ICO has good concept but execution is poor, then it's not going to happen. If they have a good concept, good execution, but no roadmap, then it's probably not going to work either. If they have everything but a community to hype up the coin, then the project's gonna work, but nobody's going to use it or buy into it.

Hi! You might consider these. I'll post top 5 things to look for a good ICO and i'll add some.
1. First you need to do is to find what kind of problem or challenge does a certain project is tackling?
2. How will the project make money after ICO or after their tech is already complete?
3. How will their source of income affect the value of their tokens?
4. Find out who are the team members
5. Is the the team member's field of experience especially the CEO/founder related to their project? If yes, then how much is it related?
Other important things---
-Total supply of the tokens -Is it a utility or a security? -Is there a burning of the token supply or multiplication of tokens of ICO investors? -How many tokens do team members keep? Is it higher than those sold publicly? -Roadmap -Whitepaper -How constructive are they (Team) when answering questions and dealing with criticisms? -How do they deal with competitors?

Adequate cap, strong advisors from IBM and QIWI.Just read their whitepaper, it's an example for the other ICO's "Idea" is most important! With good idea it will be easier to find "Strong Team" that can work that idea and give it a place in reality. "Whitepaper" . "Roadmap" needs to show to the people who are you, your idea and how you plan to develop that idea. Without "Community" and followers nothing from above stated is not matter. I will check that VLB project. Signature I wearing will take you to Cedex, certified BlockChain based diamond exchange. They have it all too. When you check it, you will see it is not a waste of time.

I totally agree with your 5 list, but there are things that i can add from this, which are their timeline and availability of recent product. VLB has a good timline and plan fot the money received from ICO time and they have 2 company as their recent product (CarFix and CarPrice) which can be integrated to the project of VLB, and these 2 companies is running perfectly now in europe and CarFix even has a partnership with Uber.
