I lost over 80k because i sold too early (newbie mistake)

I’m pretty sure that you sold at a higher price after two days from your purchase. You actually gained something here. So the word "lost" is not applicable in this case since you never sold anything at a lower price. What you meant though is that you missed on the chance of gaining bigger profit due to you selling too early (which you stated). So don’t think you lost anything, coz you didn’t. You are correct, this is one major mistake you must learn from.

I'm sorry for you but but such things always happen. You still have to look ahead and you can learn something from this. You know what to do when things like this happen again. This market has a one rule : Never sell cheaper than the price level that you bought. I hope everything goes well.

If you held any altcoin and you just stuck with it, pretty much you'd have made a profit by now.

The entire crypto market cap has been going up drastically over the past year. And honestly, this is what speculation should be like. If you believe in a single crypto going up, then you should hold it until it does go up.

Don't sell early just because nothing is happening, because that's usually when everyone else is doing nothing and the coin isn't hyped yet. That's the best time to buy and hold, instead of sell.

Though some people here tell you you didn't lose anything, same as you, I treat this instance as a loss and if it's really me, it would take me time to move on.
It happened to me in the past (but I'm sure it was not as much as 80k). The good thing here is the lesson learned from this experience - that holding is essential.

And now you think that you could make about 80k $ if you just hold it until now? Your not the only who experience it, even me. I sold some of my coins with low value but now the price is to the moon. you learned you lesson by the Weak Hands lol.before buying any of coins that you wanted to invest PUT a target Percentage for profit,so that target is your basis when to sell by this strategy you have no reason to panic even if the price is dropping because for sure you will aim for that amount before leaving the exchange

This is usual ways when we dealing with crypto currencies. I haven't experience this only once but multiple times. I bought almost thousand pieces of token/coin and sold it before it reaches the moon.

What is 80k? instead of your funds if calculated is $ 730 result from 365 x $2, probably because you do not think that zclassic can grow in the future, it's common if you only see a small profit and i think is good experience for a newbie.

I think you haven't lost 80k because you're not own ZClassic coin when the price of ZClassic increased, you just miss the opportunity to get big profit from ZClassic and i understand your feelling because i used to miss the opportunity to 4x my money with Siacoin, i help Siacoin 4 months and i sold Siacoin 2 days before the price of Siacoin goes up 4x. So i think in the cryptocurrencies market, Patience is a element very very necessary to succeed.

You didn't lost any of your initial investment deposit amount, so you have not actually lost 80K of your money, you just sold away all your ZClassic coins before the huge price rise, in my opinion, I would say you just lost the opportunity to become 80K richer, and this happens quite often in any trading market.

sometimes I also make a mistake selling before reaching the highest peak. but it has already happened. the most important thing i get a lesson for what happened. that patience and mature calculation are the key. when prices rise it is not necessarily the highest price dude.

I guess many of us learned this lesson the hard way. That is why hodl has become the most appreciated strategy. Active trading is really good but because we cannot predict the next movement of cryptocurrencies with a hundred percent accuracy, it is sometimes much better to just hold them. After all, even if they pump and dump as any normal coin would undergo, they will still grow in the long term.

How can you say you lost $80,000 when you didn't have any Zclassic when the price spiked? You didn't lose anything.

That's like saying you lost $50,000,000 because you didn't buy a lottery ticket that might have won.

In any case, there are plenty of other moonshot opportunities, just invest $500 each into the top 10 promising candidates, you only need one to succeed to recoup your investment and more.

This is what I was thinking. The OP didn't LOSE anything and there is a 99% he actually MADE money - He is just mad because he didn't make the moon load after it pumped with the force of a rocket.

@OP you only lose $ if you actually spend it in the first place and fail to recover it. When you miss an opportunity to MAKE money you only lost that - the opportunity - not actual money.

you buy 365 coins at price of 2$ so how much did you sell it a couple of days later? if you you sell it higher that 2$ then you did not loss anything but gain profit but if you sell bellow 2$ then that is what you called loss. maybe what you lost is patience and sell it early and because of it you gain regret as well. lesson learned so now buy and hold.

You mean you sold your coins immediately after buying? You did not keep hold of them and wait for the price to go up thats why you lose almost 80K. That is really lesson learned, you must always keep the chart and learn the basics of trading. You must read more about trading so that you will not lose money next time.
